LIBERATE A COUNTRY, AND THEN REALLY SCREW 'EM UP...THIS IS NOT THE "AMERICAN WAY!"

Well, it seems that the recently liberated citizens of Iraq have fallen into a cleverly devised trap (it was probably the evil Dick Cheney's last idea as Vice President). The trap laid for these poor, unwitting Iraqis involves indoctrinating them in the American "higher education" system.

This article on Salon: Official: New initiative for Iraqi students lays out the whole miserable story. It seems that high level Iraqi educators are coming to the US in order to establish student exchange programs with their American colleagues.

They are visiting:

1) North Carolina State. Is that joint still open? Wolves...tobacco farmers... Don't they have that already in Iraq? Not to mention that half of the students grew up on hog farms...I don't think Arabs care much for pigs.

2) "The" Ohio State University. I sure hope they aren't planning to build good football programs in Iraq through this "educational exchange."

3) Texas A & M. Well, I can understand this one better than the others. Aggie-land is pretty good at teaching farming, and drilling for oil. In fact, many graduates can get a job as a roughneck in the oil field (if they finish summa cum laude).

There is an added "goody" for incoming Iraqis at A & M. These young people have been so underprivileged under Saddam that they probably never had paste, or crayolas...

This is not "The American Way!" I mean, we made the Germans, and the Japs rich after we liberated them. Looks to me like we have lost our way.

Dick Cheney is the devil...
