Thursday Afternoon Junk...weird baby pictures, and weird people...

Hey y'all!  Hugs, kisses, yada yada yada...

Well, the big news as I type is that BozObama has canceled his big trip to Indonesia & Australia, so he can be here to witness "history," as America gets screwed directly into the ground for maybe ever as the House (maybe) comes to a vote on this pos legislation that will forever destroy life as we know it.

I can certainly understand why he wants to be in DC for that.  I mean, that's why he went there to start out with.  It would kinda suck to not be "present" for the big moment.  Does anybody REALLY believe that Nanny P will ever bring this thing to a vote if she does not have enough votes to pass it?  Sigh...  Y'all hang on for a wild weekend.  (Just in case you didn't know, that little part was under the "weird people" category of Thursday Afternoon Junk).

While we're on "weird people,"  Walt sent me a link to an article the other day that reminded me that there really are people that think, and act this way.  It seems that some Brit that runs a company has made it plain that he'd rather hire a pedophile, or drug addict than a former Brit soldier.  Oh yeah...I forgot to mention this is also under the "weird people" category.

Just a couple of quotes from the article:

Winn, a former social worker, replied: "Personally, I'd rather recruit ex-drug dealers, convicts and even child molesters rather than consider anybody who has been in the pay of the British Government.  "Anybody who has been in the pay of such a military force, and by their silence and complicity has condoned such illegal and immoral actions while accepting a monthly blood-stained pay-packet, certainly will not be considered for employment by us!..."

And,  "Ex-pedophiles and drug addicts who have been charged and paid the price for their actions deserve a chance to get on with their lives. In my opinion, military personnel who have got away with murder do not," he said.

Yes, my friends, there REALLY ARE people that think that way.

Continuing in the "weird people" theme, I was over at Buck's Place, and he featured a story about some Danish "photographic artist" that dressed her little baby up as some really evil people as an artistic "think piece" about how everybody could grow up to be evil, or some such thing.  Now, it's been kinda interesting to read some of the comments at Buck's Place.  If you look through the photo gallery of this little one, I'll give the Momma credit for at least really picking out "bad folks" for this deal (Hitler, Stalin, Idi Amin, Khomeni, etc.).

Heck, if some American lefty had done this, she'd have dressed her baby up as Reagan in a cowboy hat, Dick Cheney with a shotgun, or Sarah Palin in heels (with a hunting rifle).  But, when I decided to comment, I linked to a cute little Anne Geddes photo.  Now, I've always liked those Anne Geddes pictures of little babies.  They're cute.  They're sweet.  She makes them look so sweet, and innocent.  So, let me use that reality to point out the wrongness of The Gooble Image Search®.

When I was looking for a cute Anne Geddes photo with The Gooble Image Search® to link to, this is the search I did.

Now, when you click on it, you will see that The Gooble has in the #2 spot on a very specific image search an image that is obviously WRONG!

Shocker, huh?

This here is the image that The Gooble Image Search® thinks will satisfy my query.

Now, if Anne Geddes did do this one, I will certainly apologize to The Gooble.  But, my instincts as The Wrongness of The Gooble Czar™ tell me that I continue to be right, and The Gooble continues to be WRONG!

And, let's wrap this up with a video that Walt also sent me a few days ago.  He titled his computer letter, "The Oldest Trick In The Book."  It doesn't have anything to do with weird people, or pictures.  It's an ad for BMW MoMoCycles.

Well, that's all I got, y'all! I hope y'all have a great what's left of the day, and I'll see y'all tomorrow probably.

Love, Andy

  1. I think I want one of those 1000RRs. I wouldn't use it for stupid tricks with table linen, tho. (about the trick: yeahrightsure) ;-)

And thanks yet again for the linky-lurve.
