The Mrs. watches alot of cooking shows on TV. And sometimes I walk through the room where she's watching, and sometimes it's pretty interesting. But I gotta tell y'all, Paula Deen gets on my nerves.
I'm sure she's a real nice lady and all, but I think she's too put-onie (that's feminine for put-ony).
Now I'm from the South, and have known alot of Southern ladies, and I love the Southern female accent better than any other in these United States. But I think Paula is faking hers up. If you ain't ever listened to her you don't know what I'm talking about, but trust me, it is as thick as molasses...too thick to be real...and not very flattering by the way.
And when she cooks, every dang recipe starts with a pound of butter...or two pounds of butter. Now you can't eat that way all the time, or you'll end up looking like this.
Paula Deen Cooking Show Fans!
The Mrs.' Momma went to Paula Deens' Restaurant on a visit to Savannah, and she said that it wasn't any better than other restaurants. And trust me, my Mother-in-law knows good cooking. She ain't big and fat...just a good cook.
I don't wish Paula any ill, but I do wish she'd just talk like a regular Southerner...not like Scarlet O'Hara on steroid pills or something.
