Well, I made it home. The trip was uneventful. But I did have alot of time to think on the flight from PHX to DFW (coach...Diet Coke and pretzels), and I'm feeling okay about it all.
I reasoned that Harmons' boss-man has a business to run, and he's gotta do what's best for his company. Conrad is real good. I have read his work for years, and he does know higher-ups in sports and politics, and he can probably get more dirt than me (a rookie peon that don't know nobody).
It's good to be home for sure. Truthfully, I was getting kind of "full of myself" being around all those pro football players, and ESPN and FoxSports reporters. That world is (let me get my word book...) heady, and it can suck you in. I'd really rather stay Christian and humble than hit the big-time.
Besides all that, Harmons' boss-man called me on my overlay at DFW and told me that a nice "check is in the mail" for my hours worked. He also (let me get my word book...) reiterated the fact that I could keep all the cool stuff.
It was a great experience. When the cab driver (a real American) let me off at home, I could smell the greens steaming in the pot.
It's good to be home. I'm probably not cut out for "fame." I would like to try "fortune," but guys like Harmon, Conrad, and Harmons' boss-man can have the fame.
Well, I gotta get reacquainted with the family, and the Mrs. (if you know what I mean)!
