Okay, so this chick came up with an idea for a "convertible brassiere." That's like a bra with the top down, ain't it? (that might get a gal arrested).
Anyway, when I saw this article I immediately got on her side in this deal. I have been ripped off myself several times. I had the idea to make a shower faucet that automatically controls the temperature of the water...the idea of putting books up on the computer so that folks can just upload them to read...the idea of putting films on DVDs...and on and on. So, I am sympathetic with this Katerina chick.
Heck, she's got triplets! If she breast-fed, well, she deserves a medal or something...or at least a life-time coupon for free ones from Victoria's Secret. And she probably don't really need to worry about hiding the straps like this article talks about.

NEW YORK --A woman sued Victoria's Secret on Monday, claiming the lingerie company's latest secret is that they stole her idea for a strapless bra. Katerina Plew, a 38-year-old mother of four, including triplets, said she filed for a patent for her invention in the hopes of making some money to help her raise her kids on her own. "I thought it was the answer to my dreams, but it was the answer to their dreams," she said.Frank Joseph Colucci, a lawyer for Victoria's Secret, did not immediately return a telephone message for comment on the lawsuit, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.She is seeking unspecified damages, and an order to force the company from infringing on her patent. Plew, who works as a paralegal in a family law office, said she created the bra in 1999 after she became frustrated that she could not hide her bra straps. (more)

I think not only one person can come up with that idea. I mean there's so many people in the world. At the same time when we're thinking anything, there's also another ones thinking the same way.
