I really do love Spring here in Northwest Louisiana. The Mrs. has two green thumbs (and she ain't even an alien).
She's got her vegetable garden all in now. She's got tomatoes, red potatoes, peppers, eggplant (oooh, there is nothing better than her eggplant parmesan made with eggplant fresh from the garden), okra, and squash. Those are all of my favorites. She didn't put cucumbers in, because we've had bad luck with them the last few years...but I don't really care, because I don't like pickles.
A vegetable garden needs about one inch of rain (or artificial rain from the sprinkler) per week. We've had a good wet Spring, but it's been dry for the last week or two. The forecasts have been for rain, but it's been missing us. So, the Mrs. broke down and watered her garden for the first time yesterday.
That did the trick! We had about an inch of rain this morning. She says that that is the sure way to get some rain...water the garden, or wash the truck. She hasn't washed the truck lately...kinda getting lazy on me. It don't matter though, you can't hardly tell any difference when the raggedy old thing is clean anyhow.
The Mrs. grows some beautiful flowers, too. I took some pictures today with my computer camera that Harmon's boss-man let me keep. Thought y'all might like to see them. It was kinda cloudy still when I took these shots. The pictures really don't do the scene justice. I just love springtime!

Don't cuss nobody out, okay?
