An experienced snowmobiler, John Slemp, 52, of Damascus, Ore., miraculously survived a 1,500-foot plummet into the crater of Mt. St. Helens. He is the first person ever to fall into the crater. (more)
Just one thing...
One of the rescuers described the fellows' fall as "fortuitous." I had to get my word book out, because I thought he was using that word wrong. But he wasn't. Even Rednecks learn something new every day.
