WHAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT SPORTS, AND POLITICAL EVENT YESTERDAY?

No, not the NCAA Final Four Championship, or the Democrat primaries......

In a rare confluence of events involving sports and politics, the Great LSU Tiger National Championship football team met with President Bush on the South Lawn of the White House.

I understand that President Bush was honored, overwhelmed, and humbled by The Tigers visit. "It gives me strength to carry on boys...Thanks!," said Bush. President Bush choked back a tear when The Tigers presented him with his own #7 LSU Jersey with "BUSH" stitched on the back.

Heck, you can't blame him for getting emotional...it was The Tigers.

The National Champion LSU Tigers traded the gridiron for the South Lawn of the White House Monday, meeting President George W. Bush in a ceremony fit for college football's top team.
