Hey y'all,
Happy Mother's Day everybody! I was thinking this morning about what a tough job my Momma had raising us kids up. I have one sister, and two brothers. We grew up in the days when the Momma was responsible for something like 100 % of the raising of the kids, and keeping the house, and cooking and all. Daddies pretty well worked all the time on their job, and Momma did the rest of the stuff.
All us kids will be gathering at my sister's house (she's the good child) this afternoon to celebrate with Momma. I was thinking about what a bad kid I was growing up. I was ornery, and lazy, and sometimes just downright mean. But through it all, Momma loved me and raised me up right.
So I wrote a little verse for Momma to honor her hard work.
M.O.T.H.E.R. by Andy
M is for - the Many things she did "for me."
O is for - the Other things she did "to me."
T is for - the Thrashings that she give me.
H is for - my Hiney, red and sore.
E is for - the Evil she beat out of me.
R is for - this Rotten kid she bore.
Put it all together, it spells MOTHER...I couldn't ask for nothing more!
I found this video on the computer that kind of reminds me of me and my brothers and how we treated each other growing up. It's pretty funny. There's one little potty-mouthed part, but it's still funny. Happy Mothers Day y'all.
