A fellow blogger chastised me for an earlier post in which I intimated that it would be hard for our US mountain-men sculptors to get President Obama's ears just right when they begin the arduous task of adding his visage to Mt. Rushmore. He pointed out to me that nobody on Mt. Rushmore really had any ears (well sure they had ears in real life, just not on the mountain...only George Washington...but his left ear was covered up by his powdered wig.)
He was right. I've never actually been to Mt. Rushmore, as it is way up north, and I must confess that the pictures will do me just fine. It's cold up north, and getting colder...so I don't reckon I'll get up that way.
But some photoshop wizard has envisioned it...I'm not sure if that is a shared ear between him and Dishonest Abe or not. But it is a good effort worth noting.
I am just not seeing the fairness of allowing Obama to have ears on an obviously EAR FREE memorial. Seems kinda wrong.

Get used to it being "kinda wrong." This is Obama we're talking about. An "ear-free zone" will not apply.
ReplyDeleteTruthfully TD, that was an astute observation. I had never really looked that closely at the details of Mt. Rushmore. I guess that's why you're the rich "detail guy," and I'm the poor schlub!
The first time that I heard one of the news doofi talking about how great he was, that is where it seemed to be heading. Since the facial idiosyncrasies of Barry that are most prominent are the jugears and that HUGE continent growing next to his nose, I looked at the photos of Rushmore closely. They hepped Lincoln out a tad, too. Don't you think?
ReplyDeleteTD: I try not to look at anything Lincoln. (that's really the reason I ain't going to Mt. Rushmore...big waste of money and lives scratching his face into God's creation.) I just noticed the shared ear.
