Insanity...

I have decided to resist the temptation to use the terms "Deficient, Moron, Imbecile, or Idiot" when discussing the actions of people that are just insane. Remember, the Binet Scale classifies those categories of individuals by IQ.

Normal ----- IQ 85-115
Deficient ---- IQ 71-84
Moron ------ IQ 51-70
Imbecile ---- IQ 26-50
Idiot -------- IQ 0-25

It's not that I will not ever use those terms, because truthfully they are applicable to many people in the public eye...but not most. Most people fall in the "Normal" range of IQ. And if I judge someone to most likely fall into that category (or higher), I will just assume that they are "insane" when they act like Morons, or Idiots.

Words mean things. Here is the definition of "Insanity." You will notice words like "derangement," and "foolish" used to define "Insanity." 'Bout Right...

Let us take the PETArds for example. I am almost positive that the great bulk of their membership, donors, etc. are of "normal" IQ, or better. So, I must assume that they (at least their leadership) are just insane. It has been all over the news, the net, etc. that President Obama killed a fly on camera during an interview.

Truthfully, he put to rest the notion that "he wouldn't hurt a fly." Actually, I haven't seen it, but it sounded pretty cool to me. "I got the sucker!" sounds like something W would have said in the same situation.

I knew it wouldn't be long until the PETArds proved once again just how insane they are.

And talk about INSANITY! Plants have feelings, too. Now, I know some people that talk to their house plants. They say it's good for them, and makes them grow more healthy. I also know some people whose house plants talk back to them...kinda like Son of Sam or something. But I digress.

I have heard some insane things in my life, but this has to rank in the top two or three...

If you missed this a while back, Depleted Cranium highlights just how insane the Swiss Parliament (or at least a majority) is.

It's all around us, my friends. They're everywhere. They hold jobs. They make policy. They vote. They drive cars. They teach school. They go to church. They own businesses we frequent.

A divorce in a marriage is always painful. It's kind of like a death in a way, and always very sad. A divorce from reality is also sad, and probably worse than divorcing a spouse. One normally moves on afterward, and finds a cure for their grief. But, the insane rarely ever heal.
