Why Democrats fear "town hall" meetings...

This is a "duh" post.

Louisiana has 6 US Representatives. Only one is a Democrat...one Charlie Melancon. One of our two US Senators is a Democrat...one useless, feckless Mary Landrieu.

You'd have to live in a cave not to know that the topic on everyone's mind in the US right now is the attempt to hijack the well-being, and liberty of the populace with this retarded ObamaCare plan in Washington.

Over Congress' August recess, the Louisiana Republican US Reps (mine included) have held dozens of "town hall" meetings throughout their districts to hear from their constituents. Before the recess ends, our Republican Senator David Vitter will have attended 18 (count 'em 18) such gatherings throughout the State.

Anybody wanna guess how many Landrieu and Melancon have scheduled? Total? I'll give you a hint. You can't count it on one hand...that is unless you don't have any fingers on your hand.

Yep! ZERO!

Why? Because they are on the wrong side of the public, and of the US Constitution for that matter. They are actively working against the best interest of their constituents. They know that there is a rage that is building over dozens of issues from illegal immigration, to deficits, to bailouts, to takeover of the auto industry...and the pimple is finally popping in the health care power grab.

The pimple is popping, and they're afraid of the goo that will certainly splatter them.

Melancon and Landrieu have dismissed their employers. Believe you me, if I had an employee that refused to meet with me, and hear my concerns about his/her work, that employee would be looking for work tomorrow.

People are mad! And they're not just mad about the actions of Congress. They are mad (and rightly so) that they are being characterized as racist, Nazi, trouble-making thugs...working simply to keep the poor down, keep the blacks in their place, etc. I'm mad, too.

I pinched this video from Patrick Conlon's blog. It is from a town hall meeting in Washington State. I'll at least give this Dem Congressman credit for having the stones to go out and face the goo.

This is likely what Landrieu, and Melancon would face should they crawl out of their hidey-holes and speak to their employers. Chickens...bwak bwak bwak bwak bwak...
