I've got some junk I've stolen from around the worldwide computer that I'm gonna show y'all, but first I've got a question for you.
Do you subscribe to follow-up comments? Do you check that little box dealie when you have left a comment on a blog, so that you are informed when others comment also?
Other platforms don't make it quite so easy. Or, if they do, I'm too ignorant to figure it out (that's probably it). Haloscan made it pretty easy, but now everybody is dropping Haloscan since they went to charging...imagine that...charging for a service. On the computer! What is this virtual world coming to?
Some of my favorite bloggers have gone to "Echo." I'll admit that at first, I thought, "Echo really sucks." But, as I've used it a bit, I've finally learned to hit the little drop down box deal, and can subscribe to follow-up comments. So, it's all good now.
I love reading comments. In fact, sometimes I just drop a comment in so that I can subscribe to read what others have to say without having to keep going back to the original post to find out. Often (and especially at Andy's Place), the comments are much more entertaining, and informative than the original post.
So, would you say that you a) always subscribe, b) usually subscribe, c) occasionally subscribe, d) never subscribe. I'm just curious.
Now, on to some stolen junk...I'm not sure where I stole this stuff from, but it was probably you.

I understand Toby's point. I mean, those Pizza Jesus deals are usually just outlines, and his has the nose.

And, do ANY of y'all ever remember seeing one of these back in the 1970's? I don't, but wouldn't you have felt like the World Champion Highway Weenie in this rig?

My gorgeous, traffic stopping Japanese Magnolia is putting out blooms, so it will probably look like crap this year. Thanks, Al.

I always click on the follow up, always. This blogging thingy is all about the developing of relationships and stuff. You never know when someone is going to come into some money and you can ask them for a loan or sumpin.

I never subscribe to comments as I already get more than enough e-mail. But I do go back and check up on stuff that I think is interesting.

As for that trailer/Bug combo... Heh. V-Dubs never made enough power to pull themselves along at a respectable pace, let alone tow ANYTHING other than the occasional skateboarder or mebbe a sled, if'n ya lived Up Nawth.

ReplyDeleteIt is WAAAAAY cool! As a kid it is like a shrine. As an adult it is just too cool for words. Seeing it in a parking lot causes an instant swerve into the lot. Seeing it parked at a hotel makes one wonder if there might be some action there. Seeing it driving down the interstate is just wiener-gasmic!
Man, it really is a cool vehicle. Go search on it. It will give you something to blog about besides the gooble, which is getting waaay boring. It may fascinate you, but not your dwindling audience!
Besides, think what having the word wiener on your site will do to the search engines. Especially if you get the words giant, naked, buns, tubesteak and such close enough to wiener for it to be included in the search gooble!!!
Really, the Wiener-mobile is a job I wish I had known about. Kids right out of college driving around the country in one of the Wiener-mobiles. Seeing the country, dealing with people interested in wieners, etc. What a dream job! Wish I had known, I sure would have applied.

Yeah, I see the "wienermobile" every once in a while...came right down Barksdale Blvd. a couple of months ago. When I got to WalMart, it was parked there.
You shoulda seen the wiener that was driving it...
After that, I started carrying my camera with me all the time...just in case...
