Get 'em here.

  1. I had to go to the link, coz I didn't get it.

I sincerely hope none of MY conservative friends gives me one of these. I'm not a fan of Miss Alaska but I'm trying to keep an open mind.

  2. Buck, I understand. I'm not yet a believer...but ya' gotta admit that the capitalist that came up with the shirt is a Johnny-on-the-spot.

On another blog a couple of days ago (before the crib-note story came out), I wrote this about Sarah:

"I didn’t catch her speech to the Tea Party convention last night, but I caught it right at the end. After her speech she sat down to answer some questions that the audience had posed.

Frankly, I was not impressed. And, I don’t know why I wasn’t exactly. Well, maybe I do. It seemed to me that her answers were just so off the mark…like she already had 5 or 6 things memorized that she was going to work in to an answer, whether they applied to the question or not.

And, something about her delivery…I know she’s confident in her beliefs, but was really too cutesy, and sometimes weak in stating them.

I dunno. Maybe it’s just me, but I think in some ways she’s going backwards with her skills. Like I said, it’s probably just me."

I did not know at the time that she had the notes in there...but it seemed like she was uncomfortable, and now what I saw makes more sense.

Heck, I woulda probably done the same dang thing if it was me. So, I'm not gonna bash her. Not when we've got a moron in the Oval Office that can't tie his shoes without instructions from Soros.

But, I know what you mean. There is just "something" I can't quite fall for. And, tt ain't the legs.

    Just sayin'...

  3. I hear ya, Andy. I'm skeptical by nature but even more so when it comes to beautiful women politicians spouting populist rhetoric. There's a piece of me that profoundly WANTS to believe and that bit is re-enforced by her apparent success early in her first term as governor (based on opinion polls up in The Last Frontier). But that piece that wants to believe... the piece that's looking for "the next Reagan," as all of us right-wing types are... is offset by her mediocre performance in Campaign 2008. As I originally said: I'm trying to keep an open mind here.

  4. Buck, Check! I can't fault Sarah for a mediocre performance in 2008, as I firmly believe it was a LOSER from the start...and the media was determined to make it so.

Pam's Alaska kinfolks are actually friends to Sarah...sat with her at her inaugural dinner as Gov. They are true believers. But, they are also Okies transplanted...so...

I guess we (I) got spoiled in my younger days by the "Great Communicator." Heck, I myself spent several years speaking before crowds regularly...sometimes small, sometimes quite large. I never wrote notes in my hand.

No, I had printed out EVERY DANG THING THAT I WANTED TO SAY...plus had little arrows drawn back toward the emphasis word, and circles around the words that lead back to the emphasis word. So, I'm not ragging her on the palm-cheat.

But, there is just "something" that doesn't grab me. And again...it ain't the legs. ;)

  5. Was that Okie comment really necessary? Sheesh.

I would probably not support the lady for President, but I DO like how she makes the left wail and gnash their teeth. And the more they do that, the sillier they look, so she has a purpose and a benefit.

And, Andy, the purpose and benefit isn't her legs. :)

  6. Well, it's true, Staci! Nyuk...

Yeah, I think that's what I like most about her...they REALLY hate her.
