My conclusion on The Hobby Lobby discussion...

Yesterday, I did a little post about Hobby Lobby, and the stand they take for Christ in their business.  The comments were very informative, enlightening, and entertaining in my book...and greatly appreciated!

And, I've come to one profound conclusion.

I conclude that I might quite possibly be the only person in the world that has not been to a Hobby Lobby.

I gotta get out more...

  1. I have been in one but don't like to shop there. Too much imported crap that I don't need. MUD

  2. It's alright. I prefer Michaels for the art supplies. Hobby Lobby is more home decor and craft-oriented.

  3. I just went back and read everything that came after I commented. I found the atheist/anti-theist comments most enlightening. I always tell people I'm a Buddhist, but I'm really agnostic... in that I acknowledge a greater power but don't know what his/her name is although I HOPE it's something like "Phoebe." The concept of The Goddess appeals to me. ;-)

    If'n you're interested... here's how I became a Buddhist.

  4. Anything involving paint, ink, glue, caulking, etc turns into a giant sticky mess as soon as I get started on it. I spend more time trying to unglue my hand from my kneecap without having to call 911. So I don't do "crafts" or visit the stores much.

  5. This may come as a shock to you Andy, but I'm really not an artsy person. I tried painting years ago but found I had absolutely no talent whatever. It takes more than technique you know.
I do remember when I was 8 or 9 they had these kits for about a dollar, had a little frame and a bunch of yarn and you could make a potholder. I made one for my mother for Christmas one year and lord, it was ugly. But you know, when I asked her why she wasn't using it she said because she had it put up with her 'good stuff', that she wouldn't use something that nice on an everyday basis. I never did know what she really did with it, but I bought into her story at the time. Mothers certainly have a way.
(Can you tell by my rambling that I'm approaching old age).
Anyway, I've never been in Hobby Lobby, it is one of those stores that my shopper daughter has mentioned. Of course, she loves any store that sells stuff.
What I came on here to say was good for Hobby Lobby!
(Remember when Brookshires didn't open on Sunday, but they finally caved?)

  6. Heh! It's hard to believe that I have so many artistically inept friends...

Good thing we have Red & Staci around here to tell us what's what, and what's not!

Buck, thanks for the story...I wondered about that. ;)
