She would have been 120 today...

Hey y'all!  Hugs, kisses, yada yada yada...

I haven't been writing much.  It's not that I don't have a boat load of garbage to fill up this Titanic.  I've just been too busy to write it down.  I'll get around to it.  Probably.  Maybe.  Probably not.

Anyway, our yearly tribute to one of the unforgettable characters in my life must be replayed.

Man, I still miss her.  Every day.  Happy birthday, Granny Laura!

  2. Wow. Laura had to have had a rich, full life indeed. And she saw SO much in her time. You were blessed, Andy.

  3. Moogie, and Buck: Yes, I was blessed indeed. It is rare to have a great grandparent so long in to adulthood. And, to have one that was so sharp, and able to pass along stories of being an adult during the depression, waging war with the girls as the men went off to fight the yellow bastard nips, and watching her learn to use a microwave oven in the '80's.

I really do need to sit down and write about the things I learned from her. I really do.

And, I had another great grandmother on my Daddy's side that lived almost that long. She was a character, too. I gotta get around to doing that.
