Sinfully simple...

.
BAKE THIS!!!

Last night The Mrs. baked a dessert for after dinner.  One of her friends on The Facebook (and in real life) had just raved, and raved about how great it was.  It was something like "I've already cooked this twice in the last two days because everybody loves it so much."

Now, this friend of hers is not well known for being a great chef.  So, The Mrs. became quite interested in baking this dessert.  She said something like, "Well, this is too easy to be all that good, but I'll give it a try.

Killer!!!

I've never really eaten anything quite like it.  It is a cheesecake thingy, but it's got a thick crust on the top and bottom...and sweet/cinnamon junk on the top side.  It was truly sinful.  And that's what we like.

I would have eaten more, but the button on my shorts burst and by the time I got it sewed back on, The Mrs. had put it away in the frig.

THIS HERE IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.

BAKE THIS!!!

Easy cheesecake - Virginia Jones  (name crossed out to protect the innocent/guilty/whatever)

Ingredients:
1 3/8 c sugar
2 soft packs of 8 oz cream cheese
1 tsp of vanilla
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 melted stick of butter (4 Tbs butter)
2 packs of crescent rolls

Directions:
-spray pan with cooking spray or rub with butter
-open one pack of crescent rolls and lay in bottom of pan, you may have to work with them to get them to fit right
-in a bowl mix the two packs of cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tsp of vanilla until mixed well
-spread over the crescent rolls
-roll out other crescent rolls on top of the mixture, while working with it to make sure it fits about the same as the bottom layer
-melt the half stick of butter (4 Tbs of butter), then add 3/8 cup of sugar and cinnamon and mix well
-evenly pour over the top
-bake for 40 minutes at 350
-it is good cold or warm, you can even have it with honey

*enjoy!!!!!!

Trust me...  Do this!

The Mrs. decided to top it with strawberries that were swimming in sugar.  Gwaaaaaaaa!

Don't bother to thank me.  Just BAKE THIS, and die happy.

  2. Well Jimbo, please accept my apologies, kind sir.

I have been to your abode, and I know for certain that you possess an oven. So, there is not excuse for the drooling deal.

Go for it. I know that you live in the second most tiny city in the north side of the Parish...but they gots a big ol' food store there now, and they sell all the ingredients.

    Impress your friends and neighbors.

    DO IT!

  7. I am sooo glad you posted this. They call it "mexican cheesecake" around here; one lady at work makes it and refuses to share the recipe...but I know this has to be it!
