.
If y'all can't figure it out on your own, I have had what my beloved Granddaddy called a "Day Straight Off."
My other grandfather (Papaw) called it a day with "nothin' to do, and all day to do it in."
It truly has been glorious, and badly needed by this rapidly aging old man.
The weather is perfect...about 52 early, and mid-70's this afternoon with clear blue skies, and a low sun angle. I made myself go trim the hedges, and pull the few vines, weeds (and the stinkin' four o' clocks that we mistakenly planted several years ago that are impossible to eradicate) from the flowerbeds that have survived the drought.
Those rascals didn't even put up a fight...I could not believe that the roots pulled up so easy, seeing as we have not had rain in a coon's age. Even the demonic scourge of weeds are cooperating to make this a glorious day.
Life is good today.
Tomorrow is Monday.
