Have any of y'all ever gotten this computer letter from one James mowery? I did today. And, I figured that I'd go ahead on and let him guest post his stuff, seein' as I got nothing!
I'm accommodating like that.
This is a pretty good one!
James moweryI like the way he ended it up with "Thank you for your time." I mean, it kinda reminds me of Jim Croce, with his "Thank you for your time. You've been so much more than kind. You can keep the dime..." (That was on that Operator song. I liked that one a lot, and still whistle it every once in a while when I think upon the former days).
Hello,
I was wondering if you accept guest post for your blog. If you do, I would like to submit a few. You can see a sample of my work at LaptopComputers.org under the author James Mowery. I've also written for several high-profile blogs like Mashable, Performancing, and CMSWire. Thank you for your time.

I'm thinkin' I oughta let the dude "guest post" here. I mean, not just this once. I mean, he has posted at lapdogscomprutuhs.org, and mushible, and at CMSWeird.whoknowswhatthatis.com/org/edu.
I mean...we might just have us a diamond in the rough.
How 'bout we all just write dumb stuff and put Jimmy's name on it? That seems like it would be more rewarding. And some of us have written at prestigious places. Heck, I even got linked at Free Republic one time. That makes me pretty much a superstar of blogging, right?
ReplyDelete.
.
Remember my truly horrid rendition of Dan Fogelburp's "Leader of the Band"? Well the follow-up to that one is Jim Croce's "I Got a Name" but I'm only about halfway done since it's hard to get any quiet in my recording "studio" and I'm actually trying to make it sound decent this time.
Consider this a warning, I guess.
Hey Inno, good idea! Any time I write something that sucks more than usual, I'll sign it James mowrey.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the song, dude. Huge Croce fan here...even gots the vinyl.
That was on that Operator song. ... and still whistle it every once in a while ...
ReplyDeleteResisting... resisting... trying to ignore this... AIIIEEE! NOOO! AAARRRGH! Earworm! HELP MEEE!
Damn your eyes, Andy!!
I saw Croce at the U of A shortly before the plane went down.
ReplyDeleteI'll send you some crappy stuff if you want to post it under Jimmy's byline. Why not spread the wealth around!
Buck, "To each they own!"
ReplyDeleteMoogie, you probably know this, but Jim went down right after his concert at the Student Center at Northwestern State in Natchitoches.
The plane hit a mountain. Yes, seriously, there is a tall place in the ground right outside Natchitoches...not really a mountain...just kind of a hill that the plane smashed in to.
Dang, that guy was good! (Even if some less cultured, deluded folks think not).

ReplyDeleteOr even those with taste that's not entirely in their mouth. ;-)
Nyuk!
