Hey y'all! If you haven't been reading MUD's Vietnam tour chronicles, you've been really missing out.

.

MUD has been chronicling stories from his time in Vietnam (Don't think they had much snow in Vietnam, but they do in Kansas).  I have personally enjoyed the heck out of them.

If you've got some time on your hands, go over there and spend some of it reading through the posts of the last few weeks.

You won't be sorry.

  1. Thanks for the tip, Andy. I went to MUD's blog and read two of the stories. I'll go back tomorrow and read some more. Good stories and excellent writing.

  3. Glad you fellows enjoyed them. I don't usually comment over there at MUD's joint, but I read every post.

As a guy who never wore the uniform, and came along after Vietnam, I find them fascinating.

I'm glad he's writing it all down. His son and grandchildren will have that.

My beloved Granddaddy, and great uncles had a million stories about their service in the Pacific in WWII. I wish they'd have written, or recorded them for me to go back over. All I have is a failing memory of the things they told me.

  4. Thanks for the plug. I am not sure why I am writing them but I am. With digital cameras, look for the largest size card it will hold and get it. We also have extra batteries for our NIKON's. I saw a guy that had a walking stick with a camera mount right up on top and he had a little sony and he took picytres everywhere we went. They were great.

  5. MUD, you are more than welcome, sir. I've been reading your stuff for years, and have always enjoyed it.

Haven't always agreed with ya', but truly enjoy the viewpoint of a man who retired honorably in the service of our nation.

Seriously, I mean it. The stories have been great. Trust me, your son and grandchildren will be so very glad that you did this.
