HILLARY DRUBS OBAMA IN NEVADA...

So, my man Hillary won the Nevada caucuses on Saturday. Whoopidycrud! The way the media had played up the Nevada race, you would have thought that without a win, Hillary would be toast.

But an examination of things stumps me. Hillary won with something over 5,000 votes to Obamas’ 4,000 plus. Now, does that make any sense? In a recent Las Vegas Municipal Court Judge race, Martin Hastings beat Lynn Avants gaining 10,576 votes to Avant’s 7,382.

So, Martin Hastings got more votes in a city judge race in Vegas than all the Democrat candidates combined statewide in these caucuses that dominated so much of the media attention last week. Maybe old Judge Martin Hastings ought to run for President of Nevada.

So I say, “big hairy deal.” How could the votes of 10,000 caucus goers gain so much attention, and suck up so much advertising money from the campaigns? Beats me!

The New York Times has the vote totals here

Ron Paul got more votes in the Republican caucuses than either Hillary, or Obama (if that tells you anything) while finishing a very distant second to Mitt Romney. Draw your conclusions as to which party is going to have Nevada’s electoral votes after November.

The kicker of the whole deal is that Obama comes out of Nevada wearing the “loser” sign around his neck, yet gained more convention delegates than the “winner,” Senator Clinton.

The media has once again made a mountain of a mole-hill (no offense to the great State of Nevada). I can hardly wait until Delaware, or Rhode Island becomes the next “make or break race” for somebody.
