TIGERS WIN! TIGERS WIN! TIGERS WIN! TIGERS WIN!
Shoot...we all knew that was gonna happen. Instead of giving my recap of things (I didn't catch a whole lot of it truthfully), I thought it might be more interesting to hear the statements of prominent Louisianians about the big LSU BCS Championship win.
U.S Representative, and Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal (R) Kenner: "I'm just as pleased as punch. Break out the egg-nog honey, we're going to party like it's Monday night! In fact, I have a 48 point plan to celebrate LSU's big football game win thing. It was football, wasn't it?"
Outgoing Governor Kathleen Blanco (D) Lafayette: "It's all George Bush's Fault! Uh...we won? No, No, it's all my fault!"
U. S. Representative William Jefferson (D) New Orleans: "I'm thrilled. I don't think I've ever been happier...and I'm not guilty!"
U. S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D) New Orleans: "I got a boo-boo, and it's all George Bush's fault. And, oh, I'm thrilled, I don't think I've ever been happier."
LSU Head Coach Les Miles (Party unknown): "Man, am I glad that I didn't take that Michigan job."
So there ya go...I tried to get a quote from that cheerleader gal from Ohio State, but she got stuck in the breeze-way in the SuperDome. I understand it wasn't pretty at all. Maybe I'll catch up to her later.
