DRYING OUT...

It finally quit raining about 5 a.m. today. I guess Shreveport has made national news due to the flooding around here.

It quit yesterday afternoon, and I harvested one catfish in my back yard. Last night we had another huge downpour. We ended up with about 11 inches of rain in 24 hours. I am an old Louisiana boy, and have seen some four day rains...but almost a foot in a day...that's alot...

Unfortunately, no more catfish washed up in my back yard this morning, so I guess everybody else is "on their own" for dinner tonight. I gotta run up to Leroy's Quick Stop and get some corn meal.

I wish that I could have blown some of that over to Georgia and Florida. I'm a big old "blow-hard" for sure, but I don't have that much lung strength anymore.
