CAN THE NATION WADE THROUGH A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS?

I have followed the controversy over whether BarackO' is a "natural born citizen" or not. There are thousands of bloggers that suppose he's not, and probably just as many that think he is. I don't really know, but I suspect that he's not really constitutionally qualified.

Somebody with nothing to hide usually doesn't go to the trouble of trying to hide it.

But what concerns me most is what will happen if it is proven in court that Obama is not a "natural born citizen" after he has been elected to the Presidency. God forbid that Obama wins, but if he does, just imagine the circus!

While some think this might be an October Surprise, my great fear is that it will become a December Surprise. Say Obama has been elected, a judge rules he must produce documents that prove his place of birth. He appeals up the chain, and The Supreme Court upholds it all (the conservatives from a sense of duty, and the libs from their hope of clearing this whole misunderstanding up). Not to mention that they are going to be dealing with dozens of voter fraud cases in Ohio, PA, FL, etc. This whole thing could be a true fiasco. And then we find out that our President-Elect is not allowed under the Constitution to hold the office...man...I don't have a term to describe what might happen. I can see riots on a grand scale in our cities.

I'll admit that I'm not smart enough to know what would happen with the election results. Would McCain be handed the Presidency, as his opponent was not qualified? Or, would the VP-elect become President? I don't know of a situation in our history that gives any kind of clue as to what would happen.

But it would surely be a mess to wade through, and would surely handcuff whoever ends up sitting behind the big desk...even if Obama manages to slither his disqualified self into the Oval Office.

This video is about 10 minutes long. It features the Democrat Philadelphia Lawyer that has brought suit against Obama, challenging his Constitutional eligibility.

  1. Even if Obama is shown not to have been born in Hawaii but Kenya, he is still the child of an American. If it gets as far as SCOTUS, my hunch is that they will rule that that is sufficient to make him a citizen. It will only be a temporary crisis.

  2. The ones that say he is not qualified cite the law at the time tha his mother was not of legal age for citizenship to transfer and that he was registered in a froeign school that was only open to "citizens" of that country, renounced/dual citizenship questions.
