Well, the arctic blast has finally (let me get my word book...) abated here in Northwest Louisiana. Saturday was pretty nice, but today it is just glorious! The sun is shining, there is a gentle breeze, we are looking for low 70's. I took all the potted plants out of the garage for a visit with Mr. Sunshine...well, not all of 'em, due to the fact that my neighbor has a cop buddy that is over there visiting right now.
It is so nice, I think I'll find something to do outside, and not watch the Cardinals beat the other guys, or watch the Steelers beat the other guys...NOT!
Later on this evening, I'm gonna finally sit down and enlighten y'all on the subject of Secular Conservatism finally. I know y'all can't barely wait!
But while I was outside with the plants, this song kept going through my head. I found about 500 performances of it on YouTube. But I settled on this one because I think I might have finally found an instrument that I could play without sucking really bad.

Wow, pulling ropes through a block of wood makes noises like bells. Who knew?
ReplyDelete(No lie, my spammer word here is "crawidep." I'm thinking Corn Chips and Crawidep for snacking while watching the games.)
TD: I got all excited when I saw that guy pulling ropes. I've tried plinking keys, strumming strings, blowing on a mouthpiece (don't even start...), and banging with sticks (don't even start...).
ReplyDeleteI think I could play that bell-tower instrument. I'm pretty good at reading the numbers 1 through 8, and the letters A through G. I know I'd probably have to mortgage the house to buy one of those. But I'd probably die a happy man, having finally made some decent music.
I'm down with you for the corn chips...but Crawidep...not a big fan. The Mrs. whipped up some regular old Mexican salsa with jalapenos from her garden, chopped yellow onion, and some cheap crushed tomatoes and cilantro from WalMart.
