JUST TWO THINGS TODAY FROM LOUISIANA...

I am not going to get into the fact that LSU seems to have snagged the #1 rating from most sports websites on their signing of High School Senior commitments yesterday. That is secondary now, as the season is still 8 million years months away.

But here are some things in the Louisiana news today.

1) The ACLU stands up for a murdering Roman Catholic. (Oh, also for a Muslim...equal time, you know)

Let's call Pope Benedict on this one. He did so good with the Jew-hating, holocaust denier...

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana has filed lawsuits on behalf of a Catholic and a Muslim prisoner at the Louisiana State Penitentiary.

Death row prisoner Donald Leger (lay-jay) sued Thursday after the prison began locking all death row televisions to religious programming on Sunday mornings.

Televisions, located directly outside death row prisoners' cells, are locked to predominantly Baptist programming on Sunday mornings. Leger, a Catholic, wants the ability to turn from the mandated Baptist programming to a Catholic Mass that also airs on Sunday morning. (more)

2) Thank God that we still have Medical Doctors that take their oath seriously...

There is a response in the stupid Shreveport Times to some stupid chick defending Roe v. Wade. I don't know this Doctor, but he is an Orthopedic Surgeon here in my hometown of Bossier City. Seeing as I have taken up running again, it's likely that I will need orthopedic care. He's got my business...

Most would argue against Roe v. Wade as being the "most ground-breaking court decision in our country's history." Polarizing, yes.

Roe v. Wade was a monumental step, but backward. This decision began a chain of events that has resulted in the deaths of more than 45 million children since 1973. This is genocide. The Freedom of Choice Act is tantamount to an execution order of unprecedented magnitude. If this is made law, an abortion can be done on a fetus that is viable!

Ms. Kansas, your entire argument is severely flawed. You are associating abortion with health care.

And I love this one:

We should not use taxpayer money for abortion funding any more than we should use taxpayer money to fund erectile dysfunction medications for men without the medical need or liposuction for people who just want to look better for their 20th high school reunion. (more)
