This morning, Fox & Friends interviewed Shreveport, LA mayor Cedric Glover about some of the stupid things that not only Shreveport, but cities all across the nation are asking for as part of Obama's new stinkulus package.
Now, I'm going to defend Cedric here for a minute. Cedric Glover is a good, and decent man. He needs to lose some weight, but don't we all. Well, he needs to lose a lot of weight, but I reckon he knows that. ( I worry about the old boy's health)
When he ran for Shreveport mayor, I was pulling for his opponent, but he won anyway. And he has done a fairly good job of administering over there across the bridge (thank God I'm on the right side of the Red River).
You may have seen Cedric on Fox & Friends. I don't know if he was blindsided, or if he knew coming on the program what the subject would be. I'm posting the video...you decide.

ReplyDeleteThey glossed over the comments that the money included more officers, and that those officers need to be equiped. Motorcycles are cheaper than cars...right?
Infrastructure is important to a city as old as Shreveport too. I live in Pensacola, FL and if you get off the Interstate and drive into our town, you'll see a lot of crumbling infrastructure...just like Shreveport.
That's why the first impression a city makes on the public is so important to it's growth and it's drawing industry and job producing business growth.
