No, it's not what you think!

This is about military stuff, and if you have no interest, just move along to the next place on the world wide computer.

I never served in the US military, but I grew up (and still live) less than one mile from a major US military installation...Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, Louisiana. So, I have always been interested in military stuff.

Now that I have one son in the US Air Force, and one in the US Army, my interest has increased.

Military.Com reports that the status of "Drone" pilots is being raised. This is where the "joystick" deal comes in to play. How cool is it that our ingenious US engineers can devise and build aircraft that are able to do the job, and keep our treasured fellows safe at the same time? It's just WAY TOO COOL not to highlight.

A while back, my school-mate Cosmic Conservative posted a futuristic look at the future of military air warfare. The F-22 was being discontinued at the time, and I think he hit the nail on the noggin.

And, in related news, Barksdale Air Force Base has been officially named as the headquarters of the new "Global Strike Command." It has a whole lot to do with nukular stuff...and a whole lot of new buildings will be built...and a whole lot of new personnel are coming to live here...and...

...well, you can sleep peacefully tonight. We got it all handled here in Bossier...
