"Originality" Rule #1...always steal good stuff

One day I will sit down and educate y'all on "my definition of originality." It is quite entertaining, and you will just be astounded...trust me. But this is not that day.

Suffice it to say that it involves stealing good stuff when it comes your way.

Yesterday I sent an e-mail to a blogging buddy of mine in Oklahoma. I had some valuable information that I was sure said blogger would surely want. At the end of my e-mail, I (offhandedly) wrote, "ps. Hot, ain't it?"

The reply I got was a "thanks Andy...appreciate it...yada yada yada." But then my buddy wrote, "Oh yeah it's hot! It's 102 here. I think that's something like...714 in dog heat." I just laughed like Hillary on her pain meds.

When I told The Mrs. about it, she just burst out laughing, too. (My goal for the day was accomplished, thanks to a stolen funny). I'm stealing that one for good. Feel free to steal it yourself.

  1. Andy, you are a jewel among stones. And it's down to 534 in dog heat tonight....

  2. Staci: Notice how I cleverly did not give you credit. I made your description gender neutral, only identifying "a blogger from Oklahoma."

See, that's part of how you steal something for yourself...there's a lot more to it than that, but this is just lesson #1.

  3. Which in turn has been stolen by me.

    Thanks!
