I am not getting paid for this. But the best 50 dollars I have spent in the last couple of years has to be for my annual subscription to Carbonite.
As y'all know, I have been fighting computer wars...and the dying hard drive won! I was able to find a new machine with XP...and I wondered how this Carbonite deal was REALLY gonna work out.
I installed all the software I had on disks, and downloaded my Kodak software. About 8 pm on Friday night I logged on to my account at Carbonite...clicked on "restore files," and let her rip!
Saturday morning, I awoke to a restarted computer. And voila! About 1,000 photos, all my business records, my father's business records, my publisher files, works files, word, excel...EVERTHIN'! ...right there. Whew!
If you do not have a subscription, get you one. Spend the 50 (or so) bucks. Today.
Just a message in the public interest...
Oh, by the way...if you happen to have a copy of Dreamweaver MX laying around gathering dust, let me know.
