A friend of mine, Staci, otherwise known as the "Okie Leaf-Handlin'-Machine" sent me a computer letter with a .pdf file attached. It was titled, "These Are My Credentials." So, I downloaded the file, and found myself very entertained...and very grateful for those that put it all on the line for liberty. It is a computer letter that you may have seen before...but I had not. It came from one Bill Coffey, who had collected photos, and great quotes from US military men throughout our history as a nation.
I enjoyed it so much that I thought that I would forward said computer letter to all 300,000,000 Americans...and to the billions around the world that live in one form of freedom or another, due to the US military. But, Dangit! I don't have all their computer letter addresses...
And, being truly retarded about how to exhibit .pdf file junk, I did me some research up on the world-wide computer, and found a guy that is much more savvy on computer junk than me. Obviously.
So, I stole his link thingy, and it oughta work. Hit that little dealie that says "These Are My Credentials."
These Are My Credentials.
Thank you for this touching piece. I have served with many of the young men these pictures captured. I too have been so angry that my men died without having caused the enemy to shed his blood for his country. The rreal heros are those people out there that do not ask their young men to serve but demand that they do not shurk their duty. MUD, COL(Ret)
ReplyDeleteGood stuff, Andy. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know there's someone else out there who doesn't know how to attach a pdf file. That link stealing thingy is slick!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new handle, btw.
Hey y'all. Glad you enjoyed it. I know I did.
ReplyDeleteStaci, I started to tag you as the "Lever-Pullin'-Nut-Crackin'-Okie," but since you put in all that effort on the leaves, it seemed more appropriate.
