As we head toward the last regular season game of the year, a match-up against the stinkin' pigs of stinkin' Arkansas, it has become tradition at Andy's Place to devote at least one post a day to my intense hatred of stinkin' Arkansas.
I will refrain on Thanksgiving Day, of course. Let's kick this week off with understanding just how pitiful the fan base is. This video illustrates it well. Stinkin' Arkansas has the stupidest fight song, and the stupidest fans in these hyear United States. For that matter, in the entire Western Hemisphere.
Now, I don't hate the little gal in this video...she's just been brainwashed by her culture. Her Daddy shot this video. He just happens to be the Head of The School of Media and Film, in Fayetteville. Perhaps one day she will escape the clutches of the stinkin' pigs...maybe even hide in a passing semi, slip past the border guards, and enjoy a fabulous life amongst the civilized. One can only hope...
Stupid! Stinkin'! Pigs!

I have been an anonymous reader of your blog for a couple of months now. I am orinally an Arkansan, and a huge Razorback fan. I am also an LSU alumni, and a huge LSU fan. My mother is actually from a small town really close to your neck of the woods, and I have tons of family there. So let's just say I know the people of both states and the fans of both schools pretty well.
ReplyDeleteWhile the fact that you put the work "stinkin" in before you type Arkansas annoys me, I can still laugh at it in jest. So - As you head into your "We hate Arkansas" week, I'm going to have to give you a little good natured ribbing of my own. I can't sit back and watch someone so obviously misguided speak so ill of my fellow Arkansans!
Are Arkansas fans rednecks? Absolutely! Can they be quite obnoxious? Absolutely. I won't argue with you there. I'll even agree with you that some of them can be downright stupid. But when a Louisiana man/LSU fan starts making comments about the Razorback fan base, I gotta say... Are you kidding me??? I have been to games in Fayetteville, Little Rock, and Tiger Stadium. You've got no room to talk Buddy! You have just as many rednecks, just as many obnoxious drunk people, and definitely your fair share of stupid people. I'm just sayin! You have to admit, you really have no room to talk when it comes to comparing the two fan bases.
In fact, on Saturday night while out with one of my friends, I met a guy who went to Ole Miss. He was making comments about how the LSU fans he came across while at Ole Miss were the most classless in all of the SEC. So don't just take my word for it!
Anyway, all in good fun!
DeAnna - Arkansas girl stuck in Texas!
Hey DeAnna! Good to hear from you again. I didn't know you were an Arkie. All in good fun is right. My wife's kinfolks are Arkies & Okies, and I have many great Razorback kin and friends.
ReplyDeleteI may take some time to explain "how" I lost my "fan" status when it comes to the Hogs.
Hey, what little town is your Momma from? Just curious.
She is from Vivian. My aunts and uncles are all still there. Mom was the only one who didn't marry a Vivian boy. Obviously she married an Arkie!
ReplyDeleteDeAnna
Vivian? No kidding? My Momma is from Mooringsport...Caddo Lake Rat. She and Daddy live in the house that my Great Grandmother and her husband inhabited on the lake bank back in the 1920's.
ReplyDeleteSmall world. Thanks for the info. I'll bet that your aunts and uncles know my family, as all those North Caddo Parish folks do.
In fact, we might be related...
Ooooh. I hope my Occasional Reader Moogie doesn't drop by; there could be blood involved. She, too, is a displaced Arkie livin' in the Big Easy. And a BIG Saints fan. But she usually posts a big ol' "Wooo PIG! Soooie" on the Friday before game days.
ReplyDeleteDeAnna's point is well taken about the fans of ANY school. Execpt ND, of course. Good Catholics are charitable to all. ;-)
Buck, I'd like Moogie's URL. I am neither a pig fan, nor a Saints fan. I would love to take a shot or two...
ReplyDeleteIn my sidebar, Andy. She does good work; I think you'd like her.
