On a tip from our buddy, Darrell, Jim at My Bossier (who I copied most of this from directly) discovered that the putrid a*#holes from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, KS (aka www.godhatesfags.efinmorons) are making a visit this weekend to Northwest Louisiana.
Army Spc. Joshua Tomlinson, of Dubberly, LA (about 35 miles from me) was killed May 11, in an
explosion which also took the life of four other US soldiers, a Canadian military officer, and about a dozen civilians in Afghanistan.
Tomlinson was 24, and left a wife and loving parents behind.
His funeral is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 29 at the First Baptist Church of Minden, LA.
Well, the Westboro
GOD HATES AMERICA & IS KILLING OUR TROOPS IN HIS WRATH.
Military funerals have become pagan orgies of idolatrous blasphemy, where they pray to the dunghill gods of Sodom & play taps to a fallen fool.
This message to be preached in respectful, lawful proximity to the memorial of Spc. Joshua A. Tomlinson Sat., May 29, at 1:15 p.m. First Baptist Minden 301 Pennsylvania Ave., Minden, LA
Spc. Tomlinson gave his life for the Constitutional right of WBC to warn America. To deny us our First Amendment rights is to declare to the world that Spc. Tomlinson died in vain, and that America is a nation of sodomite hypocrites.
“Except the Lord build the house, They labor in vain that build it; Except the Lord keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain.” Psa. 127:1.
The Lord no longer builds the American house; nor does the Lord watch over and protect America. These soldiers are dying for the homosexual and other sins of America. God is now America’s enemy, and God Himself is fighting against America.
THANK GOD FOR IEDs.
I've seen these jackasses on the news, and just shake my head in sadness. It's not immediately clear from their release whether Phelps will be in Minden himself, or if it'll be some other sack o'shit "preaching" the message.
When first reading about their journey to my area, my first thought was that it would really be nice to see a bunch of Webster Parish rednecks just go kick some Pharisee ass. But, that's what these people (and I use the term loosely) want...confrontation and publicity. They thrive off the publicity...it's how they get their jollies.
I've got a couple of prayers for Saturday. First of all, for Tomlinson's family, and the community. Secondly, that the news media will ignore Phelps & his band of worthless sub-human flesh (not likely to happen). And thirdly, that if Phelps & Co. do succeed in preaching their twisted "prophetic" message, that the family will be shielded from it, and that the outpouring of love from others will help remove the sting.
Oh yeah...and that God will send a lightning bolt about 1:15, and send them all to hell at once, with the KSLA cameras running. I'd buy the DVD...
Exactly my thought Andy, let them do what they do - just please spare the family from laying eyes on them.
ReplyDeleteIf we can protect politicians at political conventions by creating 'free speech zones' so they don't have to hear any protest, then surely we can protect this family.
These d*ckheads are really about as evil as they come. As much as I detest al-Qaeda, I think even less of the Westboro weirdos.
ReplyDeleteThe Patriot Guard Riders do an EXCELLENT job of shielding the family and other participants from Phelps & His Asshats. I know some PGRs... met 'em at a couple o' funerals... and they are Good People. I hope they show up for Specialist Tomlinson's funeral.
ReplyDeleteBuck, I appreciate you reminding me of the PGR. I have a buddy in Virginia that is a PGR.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna do some fishing around to see if they know about this.
Thanks.
Perhaps if enough Godly and patriotic people were to show up, a ring of hand-holding folks could keep these folks say half mile away from the family.
ReplyDeleteWalt, I have a feeling that this is what is coming together. Such a shame...
ReplyDeleteThere is a group of PGRs in our neck of LA. I pray they'll be there for the family.
ReplyDeleteI also kinda pray that a hole will open beneath the good baptists' feet and deliver them directly to the fiery furnace. They should be comfortable there.
Moogie, having been raised a "Baptist," (even though I am not one now) it really tears my heart to shreds that these subhumans use that term.
ReplyDelete#3 son (my biker/Soldier) is on the phone as I type with his biker/Soldier buddies. I am praying for a massive show of support for this family. I'm going...and I hope that thousands from around the area will, also.
Got you linked Andy. Spreading the word! Bring on the Patriot Guard Riders!
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on going. With my flag.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing KTBS's interview with Phelp's daughter in which she basically said the parents had sent their child to hell, I wandered just what was their view on salvation, so I visited their site and found they are "EXTREME" Calvinist. One of their views they highlighted especially on this site was predestination. "Basically God chose some ahead of time before they were born to be saved and would be saved with or without their wanting. And others were born to die and go to hell and no amount of wanting to be saved will help them." I just wander if thinking they are the chosen ones and everyone else is going to hell causes some amount of pride and lack of love towards others. Oh, and speaking of love, they call their protests "Love Crusades." I really found some really interesting reading here, which I totally disagree with. And since I believe anyone can be saved and that Jesus died for everyone, I am a false preacher and I am damned and will go to hell.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing some good here, Andy, spreading the word, building support for this family. If there is a Hell, Phelps and his gang of Westboro idiots will be under it.
ReplyDeletePhelps is either certifiably insane or on the payroll of ACORN (or some other commie org) to make Christians look bad.
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much. Josh was a friend of mine and it broke my heart to hear of this. Him and his family are such nice people and its horrible that these ignorant people want to make a difficult process even worse for us, all in the name of god. Please pray for them because apparently they need it more than Josh's family and friends do.
ReplyDeleteLet me start by saying that I am always saddened to read about the loss of any life by members of our Military. With that said, I am always mindeful of the loss of our rights of Free Speech that many want to give up to silence the WBC crowd. Never give up one ounce of our rights no matter how bad the Phelpes are. There needs to be a law against stupid speech like the signs they display but dang it, I don't want to lose any of my rights to shut them up. Yes, I do want the Patriot Guard to show up and isolate the family from stupid.
ReplyDeleteMUD, you're absolutely right. If we tried to take away their right, then what's the purpose?
ReplyDeleteBetween the Patriot Guard and the local police, believe the family will be shielded.
Linked and blogrolled.

I read this and changed my weekend plans. Our North Texas group put together a big banner of support and two of us are making the drive to be there to assist the Freedom Riders in shielding the family.
ReplyDeleteFabulous, Dataroll! Looking forward to seeing you. I know that all will appreciate your attendance.
