Been hanging on to this one for Mothers Day...
This is just a survey, not a scientific poll. But, if it's true, it doesn't surprise me. If you've got any thoughts, feel free to share.

Just Andy's Place... Just what Andy believes, what Andy thinks, where Andy lives, who (and what) Andy loves, and who Andy IS! ...IT'S ALL ABOUT ME, DANGIT!!!
Absolutely. I was at my daughter's house yesterday when she got her mother's day package from Tyler. I commented to her that he had always been a big ole Momma's boy.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I find funny, "Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Georgia." There appears to be one state missing in the "Mama's Boy" category, amiright?
ReplyDeleteI can attest that Arkansas and Mississippi should be included in there!
ReplyDeleteAnd -- so what's the problem with being a Mama's boy?!?!
Well, I'd call MY Mom (Jawja born and bred) often if I could. We haven't figgered out a way to do that sorta thing yet.
ReplyDeleteAndy, Turning things around in that survey a little, couldn't it be that NY mothers and those other yankee state mothers are some really bad mothers and when their little old yankee boys grow up they remember that fact? That might explain some other issues these boys have, one being that they vote for people who want to make the government their mother or nanny. Now it's Mom's day and I'm not saying that all Yankee moms are bad. I'm just pointing out another way of looking at the survey.
ReplyDeletePaul, I'm sure MS is somewhere near the top of the list. I mean, y'all got Trent Lott, and Ray Mabus types running rampant over there.
ReplyDeleteMoogie, there is not one dang thing wrong with being a Momma's boy. I talk to my Momma at least 4 times a week...and it has not hurt me one bit...nor does it ever hurt her feelings, for sure.
I know you would, Buck!
Dan...dunno. I tried to figure something similar in to the equation. I'm thinking that it may be more about the "pace of life" in the Northeast than anything else. I think motherhood is probably equally revered, and equally taken seriously by all parties, regardless of geography.
But, you're right. They do seem to elect politicians willing to fill some sort of void, comparatively. Of course, we've got our share of 'em down here, too.
