Humpday Hottie...Kinfolk edition...

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know it's not even close to Autumn, and it's about 106 degrees most everywhere.

But dangit! I ran across this picture that The Mrs. took of our little niece about 3 or 4 years ago in the front yard. And, by golly it's just cute. I mean it's a picture of a gorgeous little gal...and she don't even have snot running all down her face.

  3. Buck, I have a bazillion gallons of nuttin'...and I'm working on posting it ALL right now...HANG IN THERE.

To the rest of y'all...yes, she is gorgeous. She is now 6 years old, and even cuter (if it is possible).

I feel so sorry for my baby brother (her father). I thank God every day that I did not ever have a daughter, because I am quite certain that I would have murdered my fair share of ugly, worthless, good for nuttin' young fellows.

Four sons suits me just fine.

  4. It's a lot of fun having sons alright, but if things don't go just right...their wives or girlfriends can be a nightmare. We have four sons also, and at one point I had to create a tree diagram to create all the possible combinations I could have in one room together for holidays. For example..
Jennifer, Melany, Barbara..okay, but not Jennifer, Kristine, and Samantha.
    Samantha, Jennifer and..but not...
    (..holy cow...)

  5. This is the perfect post on a hot day! The preciousness also promises us that fall is on the way, and we'll actually WANT to dress up like pumpkins!

Sometime I'll post a vignette about Pepper and the first really creepy suiter to Elder Daughter. It involves rifle-cleaning and Bowie knives! Maybe your baby brother needs to see it, too!

  6. Andy, she is the cutest lil punkin I've ever seen. And to add to what Nancy said about sons (I only have one BTW) they sometimes also have ex wives that have to be dealt with from time to time. So it's not always a walk in the park. But I do think raising a daughter these days would be most difficult.

Nancy, I failed to thank you for your kind comments about a post of mine a couple of weeks ago. Thank you belatedly for that.

  7. Your welcome, Dan.
It was the first commentary I read from that point of view. Since then, it has become a popular opinion.
