Something to wake your brain up on a Sunday morning...

Hey y'all!  Hugs, kisses, yada yada yada...

Good Sunday morning to one and all.  I hope you slept the sleep of the innocent, even if you ain't.  My old buddy Cowdad down in Fort Myers sent me one of those "see how slow and old you are" test deals.  When I say "old buddy," I mean...Cowdad was born way back.  So, I figured I'd show it to y'all, so you can see how slow and old you are, too.

Now, here's the letter that Cowdad sent me.

Right brain/left brain struggle.
I did finally hit 100%.

Color Test

  Read the directions very carefully.

These are the things we're supposed to do to remove the cholesterol
around our brain and try to slow up Alzheimer's Disease.. It took me
(2) times before I could finally tell this brain of mine to concentrate.
A great test, do it until you get 100%!

Bet you can't get 100% on the first try! But I'm rooting for ya.
This is pretty neat! See how you do with the colors! Have fun!

It takes an average of 5 tries to get to 100%. Follow the directions!

It's harder than it seems, as it should be!

    A brain waker-upper for today!

Now, I'm gonna give y'all a hint that I did not have before I did this little exercise.  You've only got 4 seconds on each screen (which I knew), but the hint is that 4 seconds is not nearly as long as you think it is.

On my first try I got something like 38%.  But, on my second try I made a 100.  So, see if you can beat two.  Maybe one of  y'all can.    Like they said...read those directions very carefully before you get started on it.

Here it is.  The Color Test.

  1. I guess if you are already in the throws of Old Heimer's you are pretty much screwed. Make that Partsheimers. I can remember parts and pieces. Not that long ago, you would have to pay big $ for China. With all the Baby Boomer's parents passing, not so much now. I have at least two sets and a daughter-in-law that doesn't care what they have so long as it fits in the dishwasher (My feelings exactly) MUD

  2. Andy, funny, just yesterday I was discussing right/left brain use with a friend of mine.
Almost every year, at pre-school inservice some kind of fun personality or learning style test is giving. Mostly as an awareness tool, for ourselves, people we work with, and the kids. I don't know how valid or reliable they are, but fun for sure.
So far I know...I'm right brained, intrapersonal, B type, random-abstract, musical/linguistic, visual, bottom to top, and a blue.
The least scientific, but a very useful observation skill, is if a person is a dog or a cat.

  3. MUD: "Partsheimers." Nyuk! I've gotta remember that one. If I can.

Nancy, that is all very interesting. I've done a bunch of those left/right brain things. After much consideration, I think I'd do better at a "NO brain" deal. So...how many tries did it take Mrs. Right Brain/musician/linguist (I think you know that you are the living image of my eldest son, except without boy parts).

  4. Well, you were right about the 4 seconds going quick :)
The first time I got nothing, but then I buckled down and got 'er done.

Andy, I have to admit.... I get dizzy with the wind shield wipers on.

  6. Andy, My right and left brain argue with each other. By the time they figure out who's right, two colors have gone by. That being said, I got 25% the first time and 100% the second time. Maybe 'cause I just ignored my brain and went with my click finger and instinct! Hmmm, interesting theory. Have a good Monday. Paul
P.S. My word verification word, interesting enough,is "rehab". That's scary!

  7. Um... I got it done 100% first time. Didn't have any trouble with it.

I just took my glasses off.

  8. Cosmic,

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I think I didn't read the instructions very closely the first time. But I felt pretty good about 100% on the second try.

If you got it right on the first try my friend...you win the internet!
