Ooooops!

I posted a piece this morning that The Mrs. asked me to pull from publication.  Being the dang good husband I am, I immediately complied.

A few of you have already read it, and the comments were quite kind, and greatly appreciated.  And, if you use a The Gooble Reader® you have already seen it too.  That's one thing about that particular tool that you need to always remember if you are a blogger.  Once a post is published, the Reader keeps it cached...so don't publish anything you might regret, thinking you can just pull it down.  It don't disappear, even if you pull it from your blog!

Just sayin'...

But, if you want to read that post, just notify me at justandysplace@gmail.com, and I will be more than happy to share it with you.  It is family stuff, and she just did not want any of the family informed of the subject matter through a blog post.  It's the kind of thing you need to tell your family personally.

She's right.  She always is.

  1. I starred it. I like to call that, "blackmail."

  2. Okay Dude, education please. What does "starring" a post do to it? I seriously don't know.

  3. It saves it FOREVER. Even after the great whopping intellect (that wrongly posted it) got in trouble with the boss, and pulled it down.

  4. Dude, I thought they were saved forever anyway. Maybe not though, if you "delete post," instead of just pulling it back as "save in draft."

And, I am not in trouble with the boss, thank you very much! I know "trouble" when I'm in it...and I ain't in it. Over this, I mean.

  6. Well, I'm slow at making my rounds today, so I missed it. But I hope all is well.

And The Boss is ALWAYS right. Until such time as they become your former boss, at which time they're generally wrong about every-freakin'-thing. That cuts both ways, too. ;-)

  7. Nyuk! Good one, Buck. Yes sir, everything is okay...at least it's gonna be.

  8. Well, I'm with Buck. If you think I can help with anything, please email me because it was gone this morning by the time I tried to open it.

I guess this is kinda like teaching the children to think before they post -- what would a boss, or future spouse, think about those pictures you're getting ready to put on Facebook.

ope all is, and will, be well.

  9. I have never done this before, but I actually printed out 5000 copies of that piece and mailed them to random people in LA. In a small way, I feel terrible.

Do me a solid and send my apologies to the missus for me.

  10. Nyuk! Mitch, thanks for the chuckle! Pal, you hit me with a funny right when I needed it.

Aren't you glad you got one of them fancy Gooble Readers now? Don't bother to thank me.

  11. I'm pretty sure it was Boooosh's fault Andy. At least that's what my White House contact said. Unfortunately I missed the original. I hope things are OK.

  12. Which is kinda why I don't share my blog with my family. Because there are times where I just need to speak my mind and not be muzzled or censored by anybody. I just follow a few caveats: I don't blog about relationship issues between the missus & I (unless they're too funny to pass up), I pseudonym everybody but myself, and posts I don't want my family reading in case they stumble on my blog I password.

Don't cuss nobody out, okay?
