Well, lookie here...

.

Our blog buddy, and non-virtual friend btw, Jim informs me that my high school alma mater will be honoring several folks tonight.  Yep, 9 individuals will be inducted into the Bossier High School (The home of the Bearkats)  Hall of Fame beginning at 6:30 tonight.

Once again this year, I was passed over.

Shocker!

But, lookie who my old alma mater is honoring...  According to The Times of Shreveport, among the honorees is one Kim Gandy.

Just in case you don't know who Kim Gandy is, she is a radical feminist, and was President of NOW for 9 years.  Now, I'm gonna give Kim kudos for smacking down Chris Matthews, and for coming to the defense of my man, Hillary (who if y'all remember was my choice to be President of the Democrats).  But, being the male chauvinist pig that I am...I'm not a fan.

I guess the strange thing about this is that I had no idea that Kim Gandy graduated from my very own beloved BHS.  She is about 5 years older than I am, so I never would have crossed paths with her.  But, you'd think I would have heard this before.

Maybe I did, and I just forgot.

Yeah, that's probably it.

Well, too bad that I can't make it to the ceremonies tonight.  The Flarda State Criminoles are playing the Wolfpack.  Sure, it ain't real college football.  But it'll do...

  1. Andy, it ain't call My Bossier for nothing. I know stuff, and I'm happy to pass it on to you. If you ever need to know anything about Bossier, just ask. I have references. Any of my friends can tell you that I know it all. They tell me that.

  2. Yeah, I've been told that too, Jim.

Glad I finally met a bigger one than me...

    With a "K?" That's just precious! *Eyeroll*

Heh. Yer Man Hill, President of the Democrats. Filed away for future use.

  4. Yep Buck! With a "K."

I actually did a blog post about that. It brings many visitors here daily. But, they're not looking for the "Bearkat" so much as they are The Wampus Cat. Seriously.

  5. You know O. J. Simpson's grandparents were from Rodessa (okay, Andy & I know where it is), and Johnny Cochran, who defended him, was from Shreveport.

  6. Jimbo, I definitely knew that Johnny Cochran was from SHV. I think he went to Werner Park Elementary (I could be wrong).

But, I did not know that OJ's grandparents were from Rodessa. Are you sure they weren't from Haughton?

  8. Maybe Kim was a real girl back in the day.

    Or not.

  9. LOL...your man, Hillary.

Keep that one available; the DNC might give you the chance to pull it out and dust it off in '12.
