Just a note to some Blogger that might be discouraged...

Hey y'all!  Hugs, kisses, yada yada yada...

I'm REALLY busy with work, and family matters right now.  And, I've got a lot to tell y'all about from the home-front.  But, it'll have to wait.

Just a quick note now.  I know that there are hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of bloggers that get frustrated.  You pound out your thoughts, stories, your observations on current events, and life in general...and no one seems to respond, or even care.  I've read that over and over in my 51 years of globbing.

Just a little story.  There is a blogger that I read (not gonna say who) that rarely gets over one or two comments on any post.  Sometimes more, but often none.  But the other day this blogger posted a "prayer request," for a family member, and told a bit of the story.  As of this morning...30 individual comments.  (All committing to prayer for this family member).

You think people aren't reading?  You think people don't care about your thoughts, or the things and people that are important to you?  Well, you're wrong.

That's the short note.

Carry on...

  1. I think you're right Andy. I regularly read some blogs I don't comment on.

  2. I've found that a broken heart brings out the comments in folks more than humor or thought-provoking posts.

Even chronic lurkers will reach out.

It's good to know there is compassion in the world.

  4. Paul, indeed they are!

Buck, I know for a fact that feed readers have caused many to just throw in the towel.

Your right, Roses. I've seen it myself over and over in the blogosphere.

Hey y'all, thanks for stopping by. Been so occupied that I'm a bad blogger responder. I appreciate y'all.

  5. I meant to comment on this days ago but have been busy disassembling my house (don't ask. long story), but I thought this was a great post! It's still stuck in my mind so I made the time to put down the hammer (don't ask. long story) and make sure you know that I'm going to steal it... as soon as I get a chance to get the splinter out of my elbow (don't ask. long story). AND I hope you are having a GREAT week... you certainly LOOK busy! (I won't ask. It's probably a long story) :)
