The People Of Arkansas!

.

Hey y'all!  I'm thinking of starting a new blog called "The People Of Arkansas."  Sure never would run out of material.

Dr. Jill sends our first entry in.

You might be a redneck...

If you go to the drive through at the tobacco store on a riding lawn mower, pulling your mother in a cart, while she sits in a rocking chair wearing a night gown.
I would not have believed this if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. I took this picture Friday evening at the Tobacco Corner store here in downtown Morrilton.

  1. I am glad that Wal*Mart doesn't have a drive through lane. No tellin' what people would drive or wear there.

  2. Hey, that's what I like about the south! Got to admit we are original. This might be the solution to high gas prices. I can hear the wife right now if I told her to get in the lawnmower trailer, we are a goin to Walmart.
    Still LMAO!!!!

  3. As I commented on Facebook, I doubt that the mother's wearing a nightgown. I'm pretty sure she would be wearing her very best housecoat for an outing to the drive-through.

  4. Here in OK, I've seen lots of people on their riding lawn mowers driving down the highway, but never pulling a cart with their mother in the back.

  5. When I was still living on the farm, that's how I exercised my dogs.

  7. God help me. Morrilton is only twenty minutes down the interstate from where I'm at.

Of course, I could just send in pics from around my SIL's place. That would really give you some blog fodder...

  9. What's the driver doing? Surely he wouldn't text while mowing, would he?
