  3. My first care was a Ford Maverick. I never knew it could fly!

Seriously, this is a good story. Sometimes true innovation starts with the small guy at home.

  5. Zero to 60 in 3.6 seconds and 25~30 mpg? I'll have one even if it DOESN'T fly. Very cool.

  6. When they do another James Bond movie, this car should be in it. Neat.

  7. Beats anything I've created hereabouts. All of my creations are joined by the commonality of one word: 'mess'

  8. It's cool to see folks just gathering together in parking lots and finding so much to talk about when they see a propeller on a car. I'm gonna put a propeller on my Honda... we'll see if that's not a chick magnet or what!

$84,000. ... still it's what makes the world go round.
*It says "In God We Trust" on his license plate... How did that get by "The Authorities" ?

  9. Hey y'all! Thanks for dropping by. Went to work extremely early this am, and finally getting back to comments.

I really liked this. Jimbo, I am going to delve in to this fellow's life story. But, I've heard my whole life of Jim Elliot, and the murdered Missionaries in Ecuador. I got enough of a hint from the end to figure his Pop was one of those killed. I'm looking forward to reading the story.

    Buck...I figured.

Marc...DUDE! I might put a prop on the old S-10 pickup, too. Excellent idea, hoser.

  10. Go and get the movie, End of The Spear. It is about His father and how they were killed and how their wives went in to be missionaries to the same people that killed them. It is a very good docudrama. I thought he had died toward the end of last year in a plane wreck, but maybe it was someone else flying for their organization. I actually sent in a design to GM when I was about 13 in 73. They sent me back a nice letter, saying they would put it in their files for possible later use. I am still waiting for them to use it so I could get them from steeling my idea and make millions off them. LOL, like that is gonna happen.

  11. Darrell, that's interesting. I knew of the story, and often listened to Elisabeth Elliot's radio program.

Fascinating stuff, really. I'll try to locate the film. Thanks for the tip.
