Hey y'all! Hugs, kisses, yada yada yada...
It's Springtime again, so y'all know what that means...pictures of flowers from Andy's Place!
Yep! It's a tradition.
This Spring, I'm gonna start y'all off with a quiz!
Look, even the weeds are gorgeous at Andy's Place. We've already linked to the Oxalis, so let me show y'all some more voluntary flowers that grace this joint.
Now, The Mrs. says that the little blue flowers there are spiderwort. She thinks. But, does anybody know what that beautiful dark mauve weed is? I mean, I'm calling it a "weed" because we didn't have it for a long time, and then all of a sudden it started coming up, and blooming. We sure didn't plant it, but The Mrs. figures somebody must have, and we just didn't notice it for several years.
But I ain't so sure, because I think I'd have noticed a gorgeous dark mauve flower like that.
I started to shoot a "macro" shot of it so y'all could see it better, but the batteries in my Kodak died, and I don't have any Double A-s in the junk drawer, dangit! Got everything else...just NO DOUBLE A-s!
So, if y'all know what that gorgeous dark mauve weed is, please tell me. Anyway, y'all have a glorious day. It's Springtime in Louisiana. Life is good...

Sorry Andy, I have no idea what that is, but it sure is pretty; no wonder you and Mrs. Andy have left it grow. CAreful with the Oxalis, that's the natural form of digitalis.
ReplyDeleteLooks really nice. Way better than the dandelion forest sprouting at my place.
ReplyDeleteThose PINK flowers surely are pretty! They look kinda like miniature glads, those PINK flowers do.
ReplyDeleteHow big are those pretty PINK flowers?
does anybody know what that beautiful dark mauve weed is?
ReplyDeleteNope. But I'm thinkin' they'd look RILLY good in yer bedroom.
I don't know what that purdy weed is, but up here in the hollow, we got a sayin': If'n the weed's mauve, don't smoke it.
ReplyDeleteThey might be a type of PINK day lillies! Look good anyway.
ReplyDeleteHA! Y'all are hilarious. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteMoogie, The Mrs. thinks it is a mini-glad, just never looked it up in her flower book. Probably is.
Those would look good in our dark mauve bedroom. Maybe I'll go cut some.
