Well, it wasn't pretty. In fact it was mud ugly, but my beloved LSU Tigers survived what would have been the biggest disappointment in an already tough season.
Mid-way through the third quarter, The Trojans (not USC...Troy) lead LSU 31-3...yep, 31-3. It was 31-10 Troy as the 4th quarter started. The Tiger "faithful" had mostly abandoned the stadium and headed to drown their sorrows at the Baton Rouge watering holes I guess.
I reckon we had wore Troy down though. My beloved Tigers clicked off 30 points in the 4th to avoid total seasonal failure. Well, we're 7-3 now. It could be worse I guess, but sadly, it should be much better. Oh well...Even this win is disappointing in a way. In our losses to Georgia, and 'Bama we dominated in the stats (Florida killed us)...but not against the Mighty Men of Troy. We got lucky. But then, it was time for a little bit of luck.
We've still got Ole Miss (a good team), and Arkansas (not so good this year). If we play like we can we should end up 9-3. That's not bad in the SEC. Even at 8-4 we should get a pretty good bowl game. We'll see.
