Is it Thanksgiving already?
.
Well, it may as well be. Operating under the assumption that IT WILL NEVER RAIN AGAIN IN NORTHWEST LOUISIANA, I spent yesterday doing what I usually do about Thanksgiving week.
I had Sattidy off from work, and it was really, really, really pleasant early on. It was in the 70's, with a dry breeze blowing. So, I scalped the yard (the dead, dry, brown, usually gorgeous, green San Auguistine Grass) with the mower wheels on "low," weedeatered, blowered, and drained all the gas tanks...put the two-cycle equipment away in the shop, and slammed the friggin' overhead door down on it all!
For the season!
By that time it was noon, and something like 721 in dog heat.
Seriously, I usually wrap up lawn maintenance around Thanksgiving. But, I'm pretty sure I'm done for the year, due to the fact that my yard looks like it's time to eat some cranberry sauce, and green bean casserole at Momma's.
So now, I'm ready for some football.
The way things are shaping up here, it's likely I won't post nothing until next Sattidy. That is when REAL LIFE begins. I've got my equipment all laid out, and my plans well made.
I'll show y'all a picture.
I promise.
Y'all have a blessed week in The Lord!

I'm gonna have some fun with this...
.
I just had to take a break and show y'all this.
Okay, so I'm mowing the grass on this gorgeous NW Louisiana Monday afternoon, and the Snail Mail dude drops a bunch of junk in my box. So, I throw the bills in the trash (they come on Tuesday to pick it up, just in case y'all didn't know), and then I looked over the other more important junk.
This is one of the more important pieces of snail mail what got left in the box.
Nyuk! The Mrs. is gone from the house taking #4 son to our Thailand barber lady to get his hair cut. Man, when she comes back home I'm gonna have one field day with this!!!
I can't barely wait.
Ever since she turned 50 she's been getting all this junk from the AARP, "Senior Dating" sites on the computer (NYUK!), and Facebook referrals to junk like denture services and Rest Homes. I swear, her pearly white skin turns redder and redder with each one.
This is gonna be fun...

Revisiting Andy's Place...
Hey y'all! Hugs, kisses, yada yada yada...
Good Sunday Morning! I hope y'all remembered to Spring Forward. If not, your little computer clock in the bottom right hand corner has probably reminded you already.
I'm gonna be REAL busy today. For all of my northern computer friends that are still digging out from snow, you'll be surprised to know that it is indeed time to start cutting grass here in NW Louisiana. Well...really just more like cutting springtime weeds...but everything looks like crap around here.
Y'all long-time visitors know that The Mrs. cuts A LOT of grass. And, it is my task to supervise her every move so that it will be done correctly. She's got only four yards to take care of this year, since #3 son is not away, as he was last year while he was joining up with The Army Reserve. As you know, he lives next door to us, and is really just as handy as a pocket on a shirt. He'll be doing a good bit of her work this year, but he's gone to do his Reserve Duty in Hot Springs this weekend.
So, MOW, weed-eat, and blow she must!
So, y'all have a blessed Sunday, okay? Sure you will!
I've been having fun going back and looking at some old posts, and putting labels on them...there's some fairly decent junk in the archives.
I came across a picture on the net this morning that I have used before. It reminded me of the post, so I went and looked it up. Y'all can go look at it if you want to. It poses the question, "Have You Ever Carried A Mattress On Top Of Your Car?
