When I heard that PA Senator Arlen Specter was switching parties to the Republicans Democrats, my first thought was...

What is this old fool doing?

The geezer is heading into Robert Byrd & Strom Thurmond territory. My thought was "JUST QUIT, AND GO HOME!" The fact of the matter is that Phil Arlen knew his days were numbered...was gonna lose the primary in '10...and made one last, desperate, alzie-Goldwater-stand to remain "relevant" in his own feeble mind.

Now Phil Arlen has been smacked down by his new found friends. He's got less stroke in the Senate than Franken will (when he finally gets there). I hope Keystone Staters, and W are really proud that they supported Specter.

Arlen, JUST GO HOME. Everybody knows that there's no fool like an old fool...pack it in and play with your great grandchildren. Let somebody else take up the mantle of embarrassing Pennsylvania for a while. You've done your best...you've run your course...you've striven to the end. Yogi Berra once said (or it coulda been Lenny Kravitz...not sure), "It ain't over until it's over!." Arlen..."It's Over."

And I think Louisiana voters & Senators are ignorant...sheesh!!!
