I'm not mad anymore.

.

Nope!

Naw, I had a good long visit with the old friend that took a dumptruck of dookie on the head yesterday.  We spoke last night, and again this morning.

Truth is, I think I was madder about the deal than he was.  So, I conclude that if he's gonna let it roll off, so should I.

Truth is, the person that did the shitty thing isn't worth staying angry over.

Like The Mrs. says, "Anger is like drinking poison, and expecting the other person to die."

So, I win!

  1. Andy, I'm glad you're not mad any more, it really is a destructive emotion. Funny how we can get angrier when a friend or family member is mistreated than when we are.

  2. Like The Mrs. says, "Anger is like drinking poison, and expecting the other person to die." Good philosophy. Yer Missus is a smart lady.

  3. Good on ya. I wish I had the ability to forgive and forget, or at least the ability to ignore.

  4. Buck, it's more like "ignoring" right now...ya' know...not to give 'em the satisfaction.

  6. Glad it all worked out for ya. I wish I had that ability to forgive and forget that quickly... it takes me MUCH longer. I know that is wrong..but I am working on it! Slowly! :)

  7. Honestly, Jill, I was not the one that was wronged here. So, it was not really up to me to "forgive." It was up to my friend, and I think he has.

Like I said, I'm more "ignoring" than forgiving. And, trust me...I WILL NOT forget.

Inno: Heh! BTW, it's a "she," which gives me evil thoughts of what kind of hair I would use.

I mean...if I were of such character to do such things.

    Hmmmmm...

  8. Vengeance is Mine saith the Lord. Turn it over and let God deal with it, after a good long rant, that is.

  9. I'm extra talented at grudge bearing. Then again, I have high blood pressure. Maybe I should try ignoring instead. Glad you're better and not poisoned.
