I might as well go on ahead and do this now...

.

I swear, I have been working on a post in my head for Thanksgiving Day ever since the 4th of July.  So, I sit down tonight to write it all out, and it's just not right.  I just don't have the energy, or passion, or whatever to do it.

Maybe I have overthunk it.

I'm gonna do it, because it needs doing, but not tonight.

I've gotta be at work early tomorrow, and then Thanksgive at Mother in Law's along with all The Mrs.' kinfolks from stinkin' Texas, and stinkin' Arkansas when I get off work.

And, I'm fighting a virus, or something.

Crud.

But, I may as well go on ahead and do this now...

LSU will beat Arkansas by 30 points on Friday.

I am looking at this objectively.  I don't see how the Hawgz offense is any better than Corch St. Nick's Tide.  In fact, 'Bama whupped 'em (by about 20 or so...not sure, but it was a whuppin').  We gave up 6 purnts in four quarters plus to 'Bama, but they did miss a frew feel goze.

We gave up 3 points to The Klan last week (even though they are not a decent barometer of anything).  Our defense has given up something like 7 touchdowns in 11 games  We're just good.

I don't see Arkansas scoring any more than 13 points.

On the other side of the ball, I believe we will score 42...a lot of those will be special teams/turnovers/defense set ups, etc.  But, the Hawgz gave up points to Ole Miss & Vandy in bunches.  I'm pretty sure we'll rack up more than the two weak sisters in the SEC did.

I'm saying LSU 42 - Arkansas 12 (maybe 13).

Y'all have a happy Thanksgiving!  Give a love to all  y'all's from me, and mine.  And don't forget to say grace before you sinfully gluttonize.

  2. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

I'm pretty sure your Tigers will win, but you do remember how my experience involving comparing common opponents' scores worked out last week week, dontcha?

Hope it's not the crud you got and that you get to feeling much better.

  3. Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!

Since we have an entirely different team now than the one that trotted over to Tuscaloosa, and LUSers' free safety is iffy, I'm thinking 21-9 Hogs!

    WPS!! Bank on it!

  4. Ha! I knew you'd show up talking that smack!
Seriously, can't wait to watch the game. It's my favorite every year, last regular season game, Thanksgiving weekend, and Tigers vs Razorbacks. Doesn't get better than that!

  7. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Don't eat yourself into a coma (that lasts longer than the weekend, that is).

  8. Moogie, if y'all hold LSU to 9 points, I will chew on my chicken hat.

But, I will not be wearing the skirt, because we will still win.

    Probably 9 - 0

Thanks to all y'all for the good wishes. Struggled through work, but thank God it was a holiday, so not all that much work to do.

Sat through a good visit with Pam's kinfolk. They are wonderful people, one and all...not a jackass in the bunch to deal with.

Glad to get home, and get settled in for the night. Gotta keep up my strength for flipping my LSU cheerleader pen that Dr. Jill sent me, and hope I don't lose my voice so I can sit there and cheer, "Go to hell, Arkansas, GO TO HELL!!!"
