Same Song, 32nd Verse...

.

Hey, it's April 7, 2011.

Y'all know what that means!  Just in case you don't, let me instruct/remind y'all.

Yep! The Earth has made another revolution around the Sun, and the center of my existence still has not flown the coop.

God, I love her!  If y'all knew the crud I've dragged her through, and yet she remains faithful, loving, patient, and well...The Globber does not allow enough characters in one post to tell our story.

I wish I could write a good song, or a good poem that would hit the mark about how much I love her.  But, Andy is lame.  Really, I shouldn't beat up on myself, because millions of poems, love songs, and junk like that have been written since guys and gals discovered each other.  And, none of 'em really do true love justice.

Let's just use this one.  Pretty close.  Not really...but well, ya' know...

No you don't, because I really don't.  There's really not good words for it.  If you've had a life-mate like The Mrs., you know what I mean.  If you haven't...well, I pray that you will one day.

So, while we're all in to sappy, as I remember, this is the first song we ever danced to (I was a fat white kid with no rhythm, so "slow dancing" was about the best I could do).  She was a gorgeous brunette with eyes that made you melt (and a dang good foosball player, too...I swear, those redneck boys used to line up and lay down their quarters at "The Hole In The Wall" to try their hand against The Mrs.)

And it was always, Redneck boy FAIL!!!

If memory serves, it was at the Bossier High School old girl's gym. Coulda been at an Airline High dance (we went to different schools together). Don't remember for sure. Doesn't matter.

Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart.  Thank you.

  1. Describing love is kind of lame, but showing love is much better. Still, it was a good try.

  3. Happy Anniversary to you and to Mrs. Andy. For the life of me, I don't know how she's put up with you all these years.

  4. Seeing as how many folks don't even bother to get married any more, congrats are in order to you both.

  6. It is always sweet to look back at all those past times. Congrats, you two.

Speaking of song memories and things to remember, here's the one that I heard with my first wife.

  7. Whoa, you did well Andy!

*funny to look back at commentary from a year past, I can't imagine what Pam thinks when she finds your 35 inch pants stuck in the basement closet and wonder, "who the hell fit these"?

  10. Happy anniversary, you ol' softie! Thirty-two years is quite a feat. I hope you had a delightful time together to celebrate! (and, I hope Mrs. Andy didn't have to do any dishes!)

  11. Hey everybody! Thanks for the good wishes, and kind thoughts. Y'all are always just so way cool about the sentimental side of Andy.

I had to work Thursday, so we're celebrating on Saturday...gonna take the whole day and do just exactly what we want to do, and not gonna do anything we don't.

I probably won't blog about the day, but I might. The last time we had fun was Saint Balentimes Day, and The Mrs. has shown bunches of folks that post, and laughed like crazy.

This morning we talked about where we were going to eat. And, we both decided that The Crawfish Palace is definitely not an option...we laughed...God, I love her.
