The best political ad line I've heard in a while...

.

This gentleman is running for the Louisiana State Senate in my District.

 Shreveport businessman, Barrow Peacock.

Now, let me say that I have known his opponent personally for many years, and like her very much.  So, this is not to be construed as an endorsement.  Andy does not do local political endorsements (not even yard signs) for a couple of reasons.

a)  My candidate almost always loses.

b)  Call it "cowardly" if you'd like, but I do not believe in dropping dookie where I sleep.

However, Mr. Peacock is running an ad that I saw for the first time last night.  I can't seem to find it posted on the worldwide computer yet, so I'm going from memory here.

In the ad he says something like, "Some candidates say they want to do more with less.  I believe we should do less with less."

That may not be an exact quote.  But that, my friends, is a great line, and a bitchin' concept!

That is all.

  1. I would like to see them do nothing with nothing, but that is just me.

  2. TD, since that is an impossibility, I'll take the "less with less" deal.

    Lou, that's what I thought.

  3. Andy, they could actually do it realistically though. Everyone in DC thought that jacking up minimum wage to stupid levels would not be so bad since they spread it out over three Julys. If they would simply raise it to 20 bucks an hour, everyone would be unemployed and broke, therefore, ZERO tax revenue.

    Embrace it.

  4. TD, I wasn't looking at your comment from the backing up perspective. But, it certainly makes perfect sense when 'splained.

  5. I like the "less with less" bit, too. As far as the "do more with less" thang goes... if ANYONE ever sez that to me ever again they better freakin' duck. Quick like.

  6. That's a good start! Maybe your north Louisiana politicians could put on a seminar for our southeast ones. They don't seem to have the vaguest understanding of the concept of "less."

  7. Hi Anon! I see that you are a local visitor. Thanks for stopping in.

You'll be able to vote for him next month, if you so choose.

Thanks again for stopping by. The door is always open at Andy's Place.
