This is indeed post #3,000, but it don't count!

Big Durrinz at Andy's Place!
.
The President of the United States stopped by our expansive estate for a visit!
I invited him to sit out in the front yard, and he was gracious enough to durrit!
I was thrilled.
I told him that this particular chair was one that was give to me free! But, it was the color of purple when it was give to me.
Free.
It's a really solid wood and wicker rocking chair (so...I figured it would suit him just fine, being a "rocker," and all...), but being purple, it just didn't quite fit in with the motif of Andy's Place...so I painted it plain WHITE several years ago.
Anyway, I told His Majesty that it was once purple, and that I was pretty sure that Purple is Oprah's favorite color. So, it'd be okay for him to sit in it.
He just kinda' gave me a blank stare...and sat right down.
Here at Andy's Place, we did indeed participate in "National Empty Chair Day." I see that my blog friend, Pat Austin did, too!
I'm sure that there are thousands of others that did....maybe billions of us. (Not sure yet, because all of the numbers won't be in until late, seeing as it's a Holiday)
Anyway...he didn't ask much about getting my vote in November. I guess he figured he'd be wasting his breath...

It's time to post this again...
Not sure where I stole it...but it don't matter at this point.
After Obozo's performance over the weekend, it's time to put this one back out in circulation.
You're welcome.

Did Leon Panetta & my man Hillary make the call?
.
This story is several days old, so you've probably read it, or something similar by now. There is much speculation that ObozO was taken off guard by the SEAL raid that killed Osama.
I'm not sure if this article is accurate. But, it's food for thought. And, given the fact that ObozO truly is a feckless, simpering moronic wuss, it likely is.
I just figured I'd pass along the link.
Thanks, PeaGreen!

Catsup/Ketchup/Whatever...
Hey y'all! Hugs, kisses, yada yada yada...
Well, I figured I'd better catch up while I had the morning. What's the old rhyme..."Shake, shake the Ketchup bottle. None'll come, and then a lot'll." Well, I'll try to make this as painless on y'all as I possibly can.
I started to blog about the weather, but that's retarded, because we all know that the weather sucks everywhere in the US right now. While some places are suckier than others, it sucks everywhere, or will soon suck (except maybe in Florida where our resident "nanny nanny boo boo" Nancy lives). So, why waste precious time talking about something that everybody knows? We all know that winter sucks.
I swear, if I hear ONE more person say, "Well, we've got to have winter to kill all the bugs and skeeters," I will vomit. That is BS. I can kill bugs and skeeters with chemicals, thank you very much.
Oh well...whacha gonna' do?
Let's see what's up first. Let's start with some well-deserved back-slaps to me. Yep, to me. First off, I have been awarded the coveted "Stylish Blogger Award," by our good buddy, BuckskinsRule.
See, I told y'all! And, as much as I like to remain humble, it's true.
I think technically in order to receive the award (or sport it on your sidebar) you've got to tell 7 things about yourself, and award the award to 15 other bloggers that you've recently discovered.
That's gonna take me a while. I am not sure I will be able to fulfill those duties, so I might have to pass this along to one of y'all. I'll think about it.
Regardless, I appreciate it, Dave. You made an excellent choice.
Just sayin'...
And, I'm gonna put it on my sidebar anyway, because...well, just because I am.
Oh yeah! I forgot to tell y'all about how I dun winned me a prize! Sure enough I did. One of my blog reads, Militant Ginger ran a "caption this" contest a while back. Yours truly had the bestest caption. I don't remember it exactly, but it had something to do with soccer players being faggots, and how Roland's little boy was much too macho to play with the grass fairies.
Anyway, my prize arrived the other day. And, it is this here. Yep, the author hisself sent me a copy of his work. He also sent along a very nice note, and even mentioned that it was 0 degrees the other day in NJ. And, he made it clear he wasn't talking about any European pussified 0 Celsius, either. He's a funny guy.
I am anxious to read it. Roland is a Brit immigrant to the US, and I believe he has a great love of his new home. The guy drives me crazy sometimes with some of his views, but one thing I've learned about him is that he has an open mind, and is NOT so arrogant (as many libs are) that he will not listen, and weigh facts. I've actually linked to a few of his pieces that I found to be outstanding in logic and style.
He's a good young man, a very good writer, and I look forward to reading his novel. The Mrs. is going to read it first, though. She does my reading for me, and if it does not suck, she'll tell me.
Then I had this great idea! I was thinking that after I get through reading "Bootleg Boys" I will run my own "Caption This" feature. And, the prize will be Roland's book. No, I'm not gonna buy Roland's book, I'm just gonna send the winner the copy he sent me.
Then, if the winner is a blogger, after reading "Bootleg Boys," you can do your own "Caption This" deal, and send his book along to the winner.
I think this is a smashing idea, and with any luck, several dozen people will get to read Roland's book over the next couple of years.
Free!
I think Roland would be proud.
Thanks again, Roland! You da man!
Let's see what else we got. Hmmmm....just a tiny bit of linkage here. Ya' know, it seems like I've been linking to Pseudo's junk a lot lately. And, I'm gonna throw two more at y'all. The first one is really of no interest to me, because I don't know the chick. I'm just linking to it to prove that I really AM in style these days. This chick stole my "lounge around the house look." Well, not exactly, but close enough.
And, I just laughed my head off over this one.
And, let's see.
Hmmmm....
Well, I reckon that's about it. Y'all stay warm out there. And safe. And, I hope none of y'all lose electricity, or anything. I'll be working the next four evenings, so I might not get back around to telling y'all about stuff again for a little while. So, well, that's all.
No, wait. There is GREAT news on the war front. Did y'all know that combat ops in Afghanistan have "ended?"
Yep, the Pretender In Chief says it, so it must be. I'm sure all our troops are glad to know.

The Facebook ain't completely worthless.
.
One of my friends on The Facebook (who I've never really met, but comes up with good junk) posted this shot. Allegedly, it was taken in Marshall, Texas (about 45 miles west of me on I-20), and paid for by a local citizen.
I want one.

Is "Right Girl" right???
Hey y'all!
You may have noticed over the last little while that Andy's Place has become a big steaming pile of lack of originality, and a barren wasteland of anything much political. Oh yeah, we throw the occasional shoe over some retarded move by ObozO & his circus, but for the most part we have steered clear of politics.
The truth is, there are a bazillion blogs out there that do it mo' better...with a much more informed fact base, true wit & passion, and with a vocabrulary of more than our 96 words. But that does not mean that we are not interested in politics, and desperately concerned about the direction of our beloved USA.
I read a post early this morning that has been bugging me all day. It was written by one of my favorite political bloggers. Most of you probably know Right Girl, but if not, she is a Canadian lady that is about as sharp as they come on politics, culture, religion, etc. in Canada. And, dang near that sharp when it comes to American politics. I can't read Right Girl's heart, nor mind, but in some ways I get the sense that she loves the US as much as her own native land...and is just as concerned for US as for her country.
I also like the fact that she is real high-tone when it comes to language, and has a very genteel way of addressing things. Heck, sometimes a post will have only two or three F-bombs (when she's holding back, mind you).
Regardless, since I got NOTHING today (again), I thought I'd show y'all what she wrote, and ask your opinion of it. Now, Right Girl ain't always right. But then again, who is? I'm not saying that she ain't right. I'm just wondering what y'all think.
Right Girl seems to believe that the political right (read Republicans) in the US ain't got nothing either! After you read it, you can come on back and tell me what you think. But, only if you want to. If you don't want to, you won't hurt my feelings.
That's all I got! Have a great Friday evening, y'all! I love y'all a lot. I mean it!

Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) is quite the gentleman! He is also an ethical "role model" for young people. And, "obviously," the most astute Senate Majority Leader in US History!
I have been reading many blogs over the last few days that are decrying all of the personal attacks (from both the left and right) during this highly charged time in our nation's history. I must say that I do feel quite a bit of shame upon myself! I have recently fallen into the un-Christian trap of being WAY TOO uncivil, and all. Crud...
So, I decided that I'd just look for all of the good qualities in folks that I disagree with politically. And, I'll tell ya'...they've got some REALLY GOOD PERSONAL upsides. Heck, even the Okie Senator, Tom Coburn has called for a return to niceness. And, he's an Okie...
President Obama (D-Kenya) has got one bitchin' fastball! Heck, I think he might one day replace Carlton in baseball lore...I mean, there's only THE ONE "Lefty."
Speaker of The House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) obviously does not have a weight problem. Good on her for being all self-controlled, and all!
But, I'll have to admit that Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) has been the toughest challenge within my spirit to love. Seriously! I mean, I know that Jesus died for him just like He did for me and all. But, when I read this article about how he had made fun of Sarah Palin, it really did kinda fry my backside.
Now, y'all long-time visitors to Andy's Place know that I am not the biggest Sarah Palin fan in these Nyunited States. I mean, I don't dislike her...but I'm not a true fan like many others on the right are. And, honestly I know that she has set herself out there as a spokesperson for right-wing ideals and junk...so, she's fair game.
But, she is not an elected official (she was, until she quit), and she does not have a vote in the US Senate, nor is she running against Harry in his miserable little reelection bid. So, it really did kinda give me a case of the reds to hear that Harry (the genius) picked on the gal. With all of the Christianity I could muster, I decided that I was gonna find something nice to say about Reid.
He is a financial genius! Why, he's been able to make a stinkin' fortune through real estate deals in, and around, Lost Wages, Nevada! I mean, he and his family have (without ANY POLITICAL INFLUENCE at all) been able to live the American Dream of getting filthy rich by hard work. Every young person in this nation could learn a thing or two from Harry's hard work, and extremely high moral code!
But, I'll confess that it still did REALLY bug me when he said (speaking of the enormous Tea Party held in his backwater, useless hometown of Searchlight, stinkin' Nevada) "I was going to give a few remarks on the people who were over here a week ago Saturday," Reid said in a video posted by Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren, "but I couldn't find it written all over my hands. "You betcha..."
After all, this is the guy that voted "NO!" on his own Health Care Deform legislation, due to the fact that he is certainly mentally retarded, and can't remember what to write on his own hand. And, it really ticked me off that he'd pick on somebody just because they scribbled notes in the palm of their hand.
Ya' know, it's really nothing "new" for Harry to go after private citizens. I mean, this is the guy that for the first time in the history of the US Senate sought to encourage other Senators to sign an open letter of protest against a private US citizen in hopes for said citizen to lose the support of his employer (The Rush Limbaugh letter dealie). So, it doesn't surprise me at all that he went after Sarah Palin in a moment of humor. After all, he's a really funny, light-hearted, happy-go-lucky deep well of funniness, and good nature!
See! Just as fun as a barrel of monkeys, or somethin' !
So, I'll go ahead on and say something nice about him (in the spirit of civility). Harry, I truly appreciate the wise leadership, and love you've shown for our nation as leader of The US Senate. I truly do. So...
Back at ya' !
